Anyone know how Lawrence is getting on for city , the lad they nicked from us
They didn’t really nick him , he and his family are City supporters. We took him from them in the Martin Waldron days , apparently at the time we made them an offer they couldn’t refuse, foreign tours etc.So more returning than nicked.
I’ve never heard any animosity towards Lawrence, completely different from Small for instance.

Well Everton certainly didn’t want him to go he was considered a much better talent than small and ISS.

I think Everton had a steady stream of young players coming to the club under Martin Waldron — he was doing what most other clubs were doing regarding signing young players— his only mistake was getting caught. I believe he is an agent for players now, he will do well for them and himself of course! But good luck to him. Now we are spending millions on young players and it is a gamble— but we will be the winners in the long run— if they come off!

Well below.
I watched a full League 2 game, the old fourth division, and it was unbelievable poor with hardly any of the players holding on to the ball or trying to play any sort of football, the game finished 0-0 and both goalkeepers had much to do with both of them kicking the ball to each other with aimless kicks down the field—yet at the end the away supporters applauded their team off the field— for gaining a point I think. This game was played last Saturday, I doubt I’ll be watching any more games from that division any time soon!

Oh yeh, the level isn't good, but academy league football is atrocious, hence they all get pummelled in the EFL Trophy.
