I don’t believe any of the above are confirmed for anything in the UK this summer.

Whereas Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Linkin Park, Gun n Roses, Kasabian, Capaldi, The Cure, Ashcroft, Oasis, Gorillaz, Mumford & Sons, Florence etc are confirmed.

So then it rules out the bands you’ve listed as they’ve already announced their tours. The ones I’ve listed haven’t announced, that’s why they’re not currently showing as being on the circuit?

No, what I mean is these global acts only tend to do UK shows if they’re on the festival circuit.

From what I’ve seen, everyone you mentioned aren’t touring in 2026. A few already did their UK tour summer 2025. Greenday and KOL definitely did.

It’s not impossible, but its quite rare for big acts to do one off shows out of a tour.

He's saying they just might not have announced tours yet. You can't say your bunch are more likely to play because they are 'doing the circuit', when the definition of that is they are already booked elsewhere!

Major acts would be on sale by now, the only exception is probably Oasis Live 26 as they are finishing off the international leg before its announced so not to devalue what they have left.

It’s not a “I’m right, you’re wrong” thing - I am just speaking as an avid festival/gig goer who (sadly) analyses festival line ups and tours.

Like I said, it’s not impossible someone not on tour will get announced but it’s unlikely for a major global act. For example, Gaga is allegedly playing Anfield but I don’t think she’s announced for any other European dates (yet).

Tbh, I just want us to sell out, and maximise profit. Not only that, but to make us noticeable to potential investors / artists going forward.

Whoever we get, there will always be fingers pointed back n forth from that lot, into who can attract the best.

That being said, I'm a bit disappointed about the Foo Fighters. But, they doing other UK dates (which i expected) so, I'd rather go a few more miles and spend a little more, than spend a pound at that hole

It can accommodate not just the band, but all the crew and everyone else to do with the tour, plus all the entrances / exits are really easy to contain with regards to security.

Straight from the gig, to a secure luxury hotel, which is a stones throw away from the venue.

On the proviso it has the relevant availability, you’re correct.

Funnily enough, Everton weren’t going to use the Titanic this season onwards as it was too close proximity the ground. Then the season came and the reality is their other spots (Pullman, Hope St and the other new one near the Docks I can’t remember the name of) just aren’t as good so they continue to use it. Most away teams annoyed about it.

Got a funky feeling Robbie Williams and Jon Bon Jovi, will be named.

A few pop acts for the kids/girls was always going to happen.

Hopefully we a few proper bands/aritsts / someone like Sam Fender, The Cure, Muse etc. A few of them are doing the rounds this summer so I wouldn’t be surprised.

Yeah, you have to start somewhere, and than the bigger acts will follow.

A stadium by the water will be a massive attraction to artists/audiences, a big part of a concert is the "feel" you get heading to it.

Does anyone know roughly what the capacity would be for a concert? I assume it differs slightly from football capacity. Artists are likely to want bigger stadia in that respect I would imagine, if they can fill it. It’s all about the money net of stadium costs.

Depends on the show, a few set up in the centre circle, so 4 stands can be filled as well as a big slice of the field. A more classic setup is a band taking up a goal end and so losing that stand, but gaining full use of the pitch. I'm more interested in the plaza use and who and how that is going to be set up, also, will it be a double whammy, plaza + main event type show hosted.
