Travel thread 3.0

I'm going to Krakow for 4 nights midweek in a couple of weeks.
Been before but for a stag do, going with Mrs LT, looking to visit the castle and surrounding towns via train.
Not really looking to visit Auschwitz (I'd be too upset) nor salt mine (Think I'd be bored)
Open to suggestions for bars, restaurants or towns to visit, cheers.

Zakopane is nice, have several ski slopes, chair lifts etc. There is also a small village just above it in the hills, but I can't remember the name of it ☹️ - it is pretty much one street and on the opposite side of the valley. Really cool spot with lots of restaurants, cafes and look out spots
Gabalowka is the name of the place I was thinking of, well worth a visit if you are in the area 👍

I used to travel to Osaka in a previous job and I think you might want to spend a little more time in Kyoto and the surrounding area than Osaka. Luckily the two cities are so close that you can improvise accordingly. Maybe a side trip to Himeji castle?
Himeji castle is gorgeous. Miyajima island as well Kyoto seemed to be the antithesis of Tokyo for me.

You can see the Argentine side in about 8 hours at a leisurely pace. The Brazil side isn't that big so possibly a couple of hours. Try and get there as soon as it opens, go in get your train ticket (it's free) then go to The Devil's Throat before it gets too busy. Amazing place.

Have 9 days in Japan next year- flying into Osaka, out of Tokyo so essentially doing the golden triangle in reverse.

Any ideas for how much time in each city? Was thinking of 2 full days in Osaka, 2 days in Kyoto then either 5 days in Tokyo or maybe doing one night in Atami on the way from Kyoto.

Depends what you're looking to do in Osaka & Kyoto.

Tokyo has everything for those 5 days.
