Maybe somebody had backed themselves up onto it.

Thought id post this here, to help people out who travel via train.

Trip.com have a sale on for train cards.

I've just purchased a 2 together card, for the year, which came to about £26.00 instead of £35.00

So, you can only use this (apparently) when booking 2 persons for the train. So, you only need to purchase the one train card to save for the 2 persons. It also asks for the names and pictures of the persons, I put myself on both and it works fine.

You can either use it digitally or collect the tickets from the station (this would also benefit if you were to help ya mates out)

Tbh, the savings are great. I have just booked 2 return tickets to Manchester for the end of the month, and saved £50!

Just thought I'd share as it's a good deal and will surely help people. Every penny helps n all that 👍
Great tip….

We have friends & family rail card which we bought on offer earlier this year and saved loads on London return journey… like you it was something like 26 pound instead of 35.

But we use this now for our train trips to the match (must be booking for a child also).

Costs us 4.65 for the 2 of us return trip from south parkway.

Financial encouragement for the green agenda net zero new future. More turbines I says!

How d'you mean? I agree most know it's Everton's stadium, but it's also being marketed as something we share.

I'm sorry, that's not on.

I wouldn't mind if Everton were getting this stadium gratis like West Ham and City did there's. But Evertonians will be paying for this stadium lock stock and barrel and to have the inference that this is just some civic hub to draw in consumers from all over the north west - as it has - is a scandal.

Please show your working out o this one.

How exactly do you think Evertonians will be 'paying' for the stadium? I ask because my thought is that if we are getting revenue from things other than the 19 home league games (and hopefully a few cup games) then surely that will be helping with the costs of the stadium and lighten the load on fans paying for it.

Let's first establish that stadium as:

a) a football stadium

and

b) Everton's football stadium

...before we have a 'facility' almost as well known for putting on rugby games, music concerts, Christmas markets...and probably panto's.....oh yes they will!

Dave were miles away from the top 6 revenue, their European football, their made up super league tournaments in pre season, their massive Commercial deals, shirts etc, their music Concerts. We need to make the most of what we've got the new stadium, so I look forward to the European Championships, the Rugby league matches, the Christmas markets, the Rock Concerts, because that means were being run properly, not just football but as a business as well. We no longer have the corner shop mindset from the Moshiri's and the Bill Kenwright's of this World, where we were almost at the abyss and were we had massive PSR problems which led to two separate points reductions, we now have sound footings and can now look to the future, not over our shoulder.

Whatever's generated goes straight to paying for the stadium, not additions to the team. This stadium wont short-cut us to the CL.

We need different owners to take us to the next level. Owners for whom money is not even an issue. All this malarkey about a facility-led recovery originated under the failed Wyness-Elstone-Kenwright period. It remains malarkey.
