2025/26 David Moyes

We've seen enough of JOB to be pretty certain he'd be fine at centre half in the Premiership. He's coping fine defensively at right back just doesn't offer much going forward. Only someone with blinkers on, desperate to defend Moyes would say otherwise.
I really don’t think we have. In fact, I’ve seen enough to say there is a good chance he is not good enough to play in the middle at this stage.

The fact Dyche wouldn’t play him in the middle is a big red flag as he is a good defensive coach.

I’m giving him the rest of the season. How many times did Moyes mk1 get off to disappointing starts (like this one) or genuinely bad starts, and then pull it together later? Must have been at least 5 or 6.

I believe he will only have a year left on his contract come May so he might step down at that point anyway.
His ego won't allow him to step down at any point. He'll have to be fired.

Different world and league now. And he’s been left behind

I think you’ve made your point pretty clear on that.

He’s destroying players. Confidence is everything in football yet he has players like Alcaraz, Dibling, Beto and Barry who must be bricking themselves whenever they get on the pitch because they’re scared to make a mistake…. Sometimes as a manager you gotta make a decision on a player and stick with it … trust that player for a run of 9 or 10 games with no pressure on them… Moyes isn’t doing that at all, players are playing scared and it’s glaringly obvious to see.
It's like the English test team in years' gone by, a couple of failures and they were out. You're right, you've got to give players the confidence to try different things, otherwise it's safety first football all the way, and we're not even very good at that.

True. That defensive system last season just doesn’t work without Branthwaite. I’m assuming they never foresaw him getting injured in the summer.
He is always going to have a chance of being injured. It's not the first time. Now we have lost a CB through injury and another because he has to play right back. Just doesn't make sense to me. We have needed a right back for about 2 years years now. Probably longer depending on opinion. Like I said. Unforgivable
