Ive always been a fan of moyes and i know that most managers would struggle to bring the consistency and stability he will likely bring. Im not completely convinced he will be able to do too much for us. He still seems to have the same limitations that he had previously which is a real shame. But i wouldnt change him for anyone else for at least a few years unless the bells started ringing. Im not sure anyone else would do more for us currently

The title of the thread could be the title of a novel by Frederick Forsyth or Len Deighton.

A down on his luck private investigator has an appointment with an elderly German man. On arriving at his house he finds the door open, he enters and finds the man dying at the foot of the stairs. He leans towards him, as with his last gasp, whispers, "The Moyes Question, you must find the answer to the Moyes Que...

There then follows a rollicking adventure involving the last days of Hitler and the Third Reich ; the relic that was lost and now is found ; the prophecy of a new hero bringing good times once again to the world, and the people determined to deny the world the answer to - THE MOYES QUESTION.

No matter how limited he is, he is still better than Dyche. Its all moot anyway because if he goes on a bad run TFG will off him without blinking regardless of what us blues think of him.

As others have said, without doubt he's turned us around and he'll have us towards the top half but it still remains to be seen whether we can start getting results against the top teams and actually challenge for one of the cups under him. If we had a more competent striker, we might get a better idea.

Only buying this if the dying German character is played by Klopp.
Perhaps Moyes should be seen as a Neville Chamberlain type who pushed out the start of the war a little bit and everyone thought him the Moyesiah, but ultimately did not have the skillset to resolve the issues of his day and truly handle the changed environment that was 1939.

Or Churchill - always the fault of somebody else.

As usual on GOT the manager thread has descended into a certain level of discord, albeit driven by groups of very vocal posters

Arguably the Moyes out folk are more active (notable posters @davek @jceverton) with a notable pro-moyes vanguard taking defensive action (@JobForTheMoyes and @Kevsleftpeg )

Sorry if I've left anyone's contributions to this enthralling debate out.

Anyway, I'd like to quantify sentiment as when loud groups start off it can be hard to see the bigger picture.
It’s like a Cannon Fodder in here!

Thought he started really well at his first stint here. Had he not had preparations for the Champions League season seriously undermined by the corrupt uncertainty of qualification then that might have been the pivotal moment for him. I always wondered if his time here since, had been adversely influenced by Kenwright's love of the dramatic tragedy. He needs a few more good players and needs to get rid of a few others and then, we may see if he has anything left ...
