2025/26 David Moyes

£100 million but had to rebuild the squad with it. And didn’t do a great job of that IMO. Very high standard league this year too, no teams are going to roll over.

I can’t see how we transition from attacking options of McNeil Harrison Doucoure Ndiaye to Grealish KDH Dibling Ndiaye Alcaraz and accept going backwards points wise. Surely this squad can achieve more than the recent previous ones, the players are of a higher quality.

Other teams have improved too. Still a lot of deficiencies in a thin squad. We won’t finish top 10.

How was it leaving us in the lurch by waiting until the end of the season? Isn’t that the complete opposite, if he’d told him in March when we were preparing for an FA Cup quarter final would that have been better for you? Rather than early May with nothing left to play for?
Don’t think he left us in the lurch but he did deny knowing he was in the running for the job , then Ferguson came out and said he’d told him the job was his months before , that was sneaky of Moyes whether you like him or not

Or, which would be the perfectly normal way of looking at it, he didn’t want to cause an unnecessary distraction to the players at a point in the season where there was still something to play for?

Its like looking at some kind of puzzle, am I meant to try and put the right words in the right places, to make sense out of it..
Haha okay mate was a bit of a ramble  I'll try and keep it succinct. The senior management of the club has been absolutely shocking, that is reflected in the number of poor managerial appointments we've made. Nothing is going to really change until we get top-class people running the club. For the avoidance of doubt, I don't think TFG are top class.

Other teams improve every year, others regress. West Ham, Wolves, Forest, Brentford could be worse, Fulham Newcastle and Brighton may be static or not as good, Villa may not be as good, they’ve all had difficult summers.

We should be looking to progress and I would imagine the Friedkins will be targeting top half, Kinnear basically intimated top half and a cup run on the interview he did.

Especially when he had spend the previous 10 years bleating about not having any money then essentially leaving ‘on a free’
