The 2nd goal went through Tarks legs. Pickford would not have seen the shot till it was too late.
That stat about Moyes does not at all mean that we are besten before kick off. That is not how stats work.
That stat might also be interpreted in another way. Rather than show a Moyes's weakness it could also show how the top teams are better, how they have better players, and even how they get better ref and VAR decisions.
And took a deflection.

Ridiculous to blame Pickford for that.

Indeed.

I have no issue with that penalty not being given under the rules as I understand them,

But.

If that penalty we conceded at Leeds is the criteria they are going by then that today was a stonewall penno.
I don't think the penalty against Leeds (Tarkowski) and Yesterday's bear any kind of comparison.

Maybe you're thinking of the one against Brighton (KDH). In which case, I totally agree.

Get pelters fully understand but both of them efforts were very close to Pickford, the header for instance was similar to Beto's last week but further out, some moaned at Beto for missing, but Beto headed it into almost the exact place Haalland did, difference the other goalkeeper saved it, pure reaction I know, but very saveable in my view. Second goal went through Tarkowski's legs, but again in my view could have been saved and I know Pickford made very good saves later on but by then it was too late.
Second part of my post involves balanced coverage by the BBC match of the day, watching it, it missed a fair few of Evertons chances, the second Beto one where he shot wide and almost from the clearance from City's corner probably one of the best pieces of individual skill I've saw in ages, Ndiaye's. Run and pass from the edge of his own area, where he turned at least two City players inside out, surely that was worth a view for the neutral anyway I was in work and only watched highlights but it sounded as if we have them a really good game in the first half but tailed off in the second.

It's how Moyes works and everyone knows what will happen in these games it is nauseatingly predictable. He plays not to lose every single time.
By the way, don't think I'm a huge Moyes fan. I went the game in Bucharest years ago, and that told me alI I needed to know. But he is the right man for the job now.

Not unexpected that we know. Beto and Barry are U/S is there no one on our books who could be given a chance ? Heavens could even play Keane upfront could be a better option than this pair.

I’m not as down today since we started the first half with ambition. We had our own chances to go up 2-0. That says something about how both sides are performing. Haaland wasn’t threatening us much in the first half because of our solid defence. The real difference in the result is they converted their few chances and we didn’t.

We got soaked up first half without any real threats. The well organized team wore us down, taking their time both mentally and physically, moved up a gear and pounced!

You’re right. Had we scored twice, though, it might’ve been a different day for MC. I posted in another thread that City never really looked concerned. We went toe to toe for awhile. Then we wore out. We made a few mistakes. Then they took it to us. And their depth from the bench was superior to ours.

They scored their first before any subs were made though, no?

Also for the 2nd - two starters combined.

We did the classic recent Everton move of only being good for a half - extended to about 55 min - then collapsed.
