2025/26 David Moyes

Moyes is a decent, old school manager. Perfect for small to midsize clubs or like us a binfire of a big club. The problem is it’s the manager that sets the tone, makes the whole club believe they can take on anyone on any given day, home or AWAY. With Davey boy the problem is literally no one believes that less than him and he ain’t changing now. He quite happily writes off 18 points a season

bollox mate happily writes of points

can’t believe these shouts tonight

utter horrendous

Far better than playing crap and getting beat like we have done for several years until Moyes arrived again.

Today is on the likes of Beto being wasteful, not Moyes, we had a real go.
Not saying it to have a go at Moyes but in the interest of fairness I have to point out we’ve drawn 2 of the last 3 at city so it isn’t actually far better than we have been doing.

Play really well for 60 minutes, have crap strikers miss massive chances, get punished by the best striker in the world?

Vintage Moyes indeed.
How many attempts at goal did we have in the 2nd half?
First half only one shot on target...
If we had got away with a 0-0 All blues fans would have been happy as that's what we went for ....

your post isn’t
It’s all good sweetheart. I believe in Everton, that we can one day be what i believe Everton always should be, a match for anyone or at the very least going out on the park believing we’re a match for anyone. You think that’s bollox, you’re entitled to your opinion. I feel you believe in DAVID MOYES and the plucky EFC mindset that himself and blue bill indoctrinated a worrying amount of Evertonians with

1 win in 5 games.

We have to beat Spurs next week or we could go into the following two games where we'd be expected to get points from low in confidence.

Big performances next week and we can go and get 9 out of the next 9 and cement ourselves in the top 6 and try and dig in from there. Get just 3/4 points and we'll be struggling to maintain mid table.

It's a pivotal moment.

I like Moyes. Overall since he came back he’s done a really good job.
What I find difficult to fathom is going up to an opposing player who has scored 2 goals against you after a game whilst laughing and quoting to him “I wish you were somewhere else”.
I’m sure as well as some on here are frustrated and angry about our surrender 2nd half.
I don’t like to see this attitude in fairness

Moyes was happy with the 2-0. Big hug for Pickford who kept the score respectable, big laugh and joke with Erling who he will use as "the difference" in his post-match press conference. Damage limitation. Expectation management. Knife to a gunfight. Nothing to do with the Moyesiah.

He wrote this match off just as he did our League Cup campaign. He knows enough of the fanbase will happily tolerate this. He might even know the owners will.

I can live with losing to City. After the game. With Moyes, however, you need to live with losing to City before the game.

He had a go. He took it to them.
Can't knock that.
Woeful finishing is outside his brief without a budget.
The only mistake he's making is giving any of these two "9's" game time.
Lewin was crap and this pair are no improvement.
They just waste a shirt.
He had a budget, he spent best part of £60m on two players who are nowhere near starting.

No wonder he bangs on about the rebuild taking a few windows, he’s buying players for 18-24 months time despite losing several starting players in the summer.
