I like KDH and think he deserves a spot in the team, but i think Alcaraz is a bigger threat and that alone is a reason to start him. Its very odd how hes being managed.

I mostly agree, I do think with a proper fullback he’d be fine as a wider player. Not his best use but in a pinch like today it’d be ok.

If we had a top 10 then I'd agree. Alcaraz as an 8 or wide would be 'acceptable' when needed.

But we dont have a attacking full backs and Moyes persists with this setup without using Alcaraz in that 10 role.

A number of us (including you) can see this.

In the here and now, its disgraceful management - although the 3pts off top 6 is something we'd have mostly been happy with preseason at this stage.

We could be doing better.

….we know his central cameo was excellent last time and no10 looks like his best position but it doesn’t excuse poor performance when he’s asked to do a different job for the team.

It’s not as if he’s being switched to CB. For all we praised him against Palace, he does struggle with the basics when the opposition have possession. He’s a ball watcher and rarely goes with a runner. I can see why he rarely starts.

He shouldn’t be excused for not doing his job in wide position.
