2025/26 Dwight McNeil

Really quite suprised he appears so far out in the cold under Moyes. I’d have thought he would be right up his street, works hard off the ball, could help out defensively and (despite his limitations) can do a bit attacking wise too.
A modern equivalent of a Kevin Kilbane or even a James McFadden.
Appreciate he would always find it tough dislodging any of Grealish, Skilliman or a KDH but I’d have expected more 70 min appearances.

Be interesting to see if he gets any game time v City with Grealish not playing.

Could see Moyes going Ndiaye KDH Alcaraz behind the striker though with Dibling the first sub on.

Just goes missing in games far too much. He can have a game when he plays amazing. Then anonymous for 5 games.

He's not athletic enough. He's not a premier league player.

I sort of agree but I think in a Moyes system he’s a left winger (like you say, a kilbane type) and grealish is playing 90 minutes in that role every week that he can so there’s just no space for him. He could play elsewhere but what makes him seem a moyes type is that job he’d do on the left so if he’s not doing that he’s less appealing.

Nobody should be surprised that an attacking midfielder who refuses to use one of his two feet isn't getting minutes in the Premier League. It's embarrassing watching him play.

Maybe he was the mole

My memory isn't the best, but has he had a decent performance under Moyes?

Moyes is very much a manager who needs to be impressed - and certainly his outings this season, at least, have been pretty poor.
