2025/26 Dwight McNeil

That is a lad showing he has no intention of fighting for a place, expect his agent is already touting him about..

I feel for him, but thats just not the right attitude..
Maybe Moyes has already made it clear to him, but you'd still expect more..
Touting him about?!?!? To who?!??! He's a bog standard, bang average footballer who has occasionally contributed some important moments/goals but on the whole would struggle to be a starter for the majority of teams in the Prem. Can't exactly see Bayern and Barca duking it out for his signature in January.

Well, probably to a bog standard, bang average team then. Surely he'd fit in perfectly..

Remember, just cos the lad is probably not in moyes long term plans and hasn't been up to it when given a chance this season.

He still done plenty to keep us in the league we're in at the moment..

If/when he goes, he'll be going with my blessings..

As I said, he has of course contributed some important moments, but I just can't see many clubs lining up to sign a guy who is pretty bog standard when not scoring the occasional worldie. If he can't start for this mid-table level club, his only trajectory is surely downwards if he moves on. No biggie either way: he's a decent enough squad player for the here and now, or he's someone we can get £10-15m for and reinvest.

He's most certainly been an Iwobi-type player for us — certainly showed flashes of brilliance, but sadly on far, far too few occasions and has otherwise largely been a liability.

Shouldn't have been signed in the first place, another player we had zero competition from other clubs in signing him, much like Beto, Barry, Chermiti and the whole plethora of expensive failed strikers we've signed in the past decade—never needed to fight off any other club to bring them here.

Get rid asap, should already be gone given we seemingly 'only' had £30m to bring in a striker.

When he gives the ball away, which is pretty much anytime he has it, he doesn’t even try and win it back, most players will harry for the first few seconds to get it and then get in position, he does neither, just just jogs back. He should never wear the shirt again.

One of the most lazy, uninterested ,lethargic performances you’ll ever see , I’d sooner have had a player like Braiden Graham out there , a disgrace to the badge tonight Mcneil, offered absolutely nothing
I've never been a fan of his so I'm not exactly neutral but this post hits the nail on the head. Offered nothing and didn't look fit or interested.
