They have tonnes of European games . We don't

The idea we should rest players for league games in winnable Cup ties is just nonsense

We all knew that team couldn't win that game. The manager just picked a team that didn't respect the tournament and the opposition. That's just not good enough.
I expected us to still win with that 11. Apart from Barry, they are all experienced PL players who have started many games for us. People are acting like they have never met each other as if they won’t be able to have any cohesion.

People also keep talking about how much better our squad depth is. However Coleman, Tim and McNeil have shown they aren’t up to scratch now so the squad is clearly still a work in progress.

Tonnes of European games? They’ve played 1 so far. By the time the fa cup comes round, they are into knockouts.

What have those players shown to expect them to win away at a top flight ground ?

Positives,
Minutes for Dibling Alcaraz McNeil Coleman Travers who haven't had much game time.

Well played to Wolves for taking their chances in a poor match.

Expected more given the squad depth we have now.

Must do better.

I love Ndiaye as a player but he was abysmal tonight when he came on , poor touch and so many flawed decisions. I wonder if he expected to not play tonight
I think this is the best illustration of how the players are on the hook for tonight too. That lazy control in the box just unacceptable for his quality. Heads weren’t in it.

He made some good runs but lacked the end product, with most of his shots and crosses ending up in the stand behind the goal. Grealish played well in the sense that he won at least five free kicks but he did not end up in a decent shooting position.

For me, Garner was our best player tonight. He fought well and tried to get into dangerous positions. Moyes is the person to blame for tonight's defeat, due to his underwhelming team selection despite commenting on the need to treat the League Cup with the seriousness which it deserves.

we just forgetting the 2nd half of last season? We won 5 of 9 away from home.

Alcaraz and Mcneil played decent amounts during that time. Coleman has had plenty of wins away at top flight grounds.

Everyone’s shouting for Dibling to get games but Moyes clearly doesn’t think he is ready and from tonight he doesn’t look it.
