Cricket

Just voted against the proposed changes to next year’s 4 day cricket plans. The idea is to play even less 4 day cricket, because the players are tired.

Play less T20 or 100 then, or ban players from overseas competitions like IPL - they all seem keen enough to play more cricket when money is involved.

International players rarely play in the county championship anymore, a bunch of moaning minnies.

I am amazed they've gone for Jacks over Ahmed for the Ashes
I find it baffling how Ahmed has failed to make the cut after an excellent year playing as an all-rounder for Leicestershire. I have never been sold on Jacks and I am struggling to see what he has done to warrant a place in the most important test squad. He has not played quite so much red ball cricket as Ahmed and has often been inconsistent in white ball cricket too.

Lancashire playing their final match of yet another unacceptable season. Glamorgan 251, but we're 103-6 and 143-7. Yet another occasion when they failed to mop up the tail, happened far too often this season. Bailey took 5-51. Lancashire 39-0.

Lancashire finished on 55-0.

Looks like Woakes' test career is over.

Lancashire lost their last 4 wickets for 9 runs. Again letting the opposition off the hook, but this time a batting collapse as opposed to bowling.

Us Everton and Lancashire fans don't get it easy do we.

I'm not very optimistic for next season. The team is riddled with bog standard players, and the club is rotten from the head down.
