2025/26 David Moyes

I don't think any fan would disagree with that, but jumping on his back so damn quickly is just beyond ridiculous..

Even if Moyes just builds a solid foundation to this club and a good structure for another manager to be able to positively walk in and take us to a new level, than to me he will have done a great job..

A Derby loss at Anfield with a brilliant second half performance, isn't really a base to hang someone from..

I’m not jumping on his back, I’m a huge fan of David Moyes for what he did in his first spell at the club.

I just think the ownership landscape has changed and the backing from the ownership int terms of players was big in the summer and will continue. How many times have an Everton team been able to name a bench with depth and quality like Dibling Alcaraz Rohl Barry Iroegbunam McNeil Aznou.

If we want to make the next step the variables above are the ones I think need to change otherwise it will be a case of he stabilises us in those spots just outside Europe (which would be an achievement in itself btw) but when it comes to a new contract I can’t see the Fredkin’s renewing. He needs to show he’s capable of something different. I think the fans need it as well, we’ve put up with the Moshiri years, and the Kenwright ones before them but if the money is flowing and the stadium is in place I do t think there’ll be much patience for more of the same, rightly or wrongly.

We won't get a proven striker, unless they're either 34 or we pay £80 million.
We could have gone for someone like Mikautadze at Lyon (replaced Barry for a similar fee) or looked at South America, Evanilson at Bournemouth cost them £40m. Part of me thinks the Barry money should have been spent on a RW and the Dibling money on a striker

P
Come on adi , the game has changed immeasurably since Moyes' first spell.

I'm well aware of that. We've had one of the best managers of all time here in Carlo, who couldn't get us top 6.

Moyes' record since returning is one of a top 6 team over the course of a season. He deserves the chance to see what he can do, he's been back less than a year FFS.

It's just the usual knee jerkers and bed wetter on here, crying after a loss to a team who have spent in one summer more than the value of our entire team yesterday.

I’m not crying I’m being realistic—-we’ve played five league games this season won two lost two and drew one, lost the Leeds game because of the managers tactics, Brighton created more chances were the better team and deserved a least a draw, Wolves we won but they’ve been beaten by every team they’ve played this season, Villa were content with a draw, and have they a game this season, and Moyes could have used his subs. a lot better than he did, yesterday we played the only in form team we’ve faced this season and lost it in the first 30 mins. because of the managers tactics. I’m being realistic about this season but if your pleased that’s fine for you and after the last few years I’m looking forward to better days—- I’m not rushing anyone I know it will be a longer wait like you but I’m definitely not as optimistic as you especially with the striker and full back positions being in the state they are in.
I agree the squad isn’t where it should be (not Moyes fault), and I agree we aren’t where we would all like us to be. But we have made progress on where we have been. I think that’s the only fair expectation we can have.

We are all entitled to our opinion on Moyes right now I’m happy with progress, I’ve sat through years of watching Everton and the last few have been some of the hardest I can remember. There are signs of recovery and loads to be positive about, but then guess maybe I’m more optimistic and that is really just a point of view!

Is that the fella who ran away to International football?

But this making stuff is dead easy.

If Moyes managed that Belgium team he would have won the World Cup.

The man brought down Mancini to win the FA Cup with the Dog & Duck. Moyes has got a couple of world class players and a clutch of very decent PL players and he surrenders to a knackered Liverpool in a derby.

Anyone defending Moyes after that 💩show needs locking up.

They didnt look knackered to me, infact im almost certain they left 300million worth of players on the bench.

I dont need to defend Moyes, his record since coming back does that for him.
