2025/26 David Moyes

Don't win the next two games and this 'great start' to the season will look like a pretty poor one.

Sunderland and Bournemouth above us with a game fewer played, Leeds level, below Palace and Fulham — all teams most of us assumed we've be able to comfortably finish above this season.

It's absolutely imperative we beat West Ham and Palace at home, nothing else will do.

Leeds: 3pts dropped
Villa: 2pts dropped
RS: 1pt dropped

6pts down i see it...so we definitely need to win the next 2 league games to sit on;

P7 13pts

That starts to look interesting before playing City.

Pep has only won at Anfield once.
Moyes has never won any in thirteen attempts—Thirteen!
And yet it doesn’t make him a bad manager either, suppose it’s how it suits your own agenda.
It definitely doesn’t make him any more than a very average or less manager no matter whose agenda it is— if you’re happy with him fair enough—-I think you must be more easily pleased than me!

Since he left over 10 years ago, we have won 4 times at a top 6 ground. Of those 4 occasions, 3 were behind closed doors with no fans at the stadium.

Not getting a win at a top six club is the expected result for Everton, regardless of the manager.
I was referring to his record wherever he's managed.

"The first half was poor,  WE accept that, and  WE probably tactically didn't get it as right as  WE should have done."

we, we, we, ?????

Oui?

...and the players had to have a word with him at Half Time.
Correct.

The excuses trotted out for this feller are unbeleivable.

Still cant get over what he was doing 30 minutes before KO: mithering about sorting stadium access out for McCoist's mates. He's like a Sunday league ale house manager.

We're at the home of our most bitter rivals for one of our most important fixtures of the season and he's got that 'kin nonsense at the forefront of his mind.

Subs too late again.

His dithering will mean we can’t go again later in games.

Accept he’s improved our overall position but not the long term manager we need to progress further than 6-10 position in the league.

Need to win the next two to keep pace otherwise we’re looking at bottom half in reality, by the time the weekend fixtures shake out we might be close to it already. I’m sure there’ll be improvement this season on last season but there’s a massive opportunity here given the state of some of the other teams like Villa Newcastle Brighton etc. but as usual Everton fall over themselves when presented with opportunity. We’ve got better players than last season but have started at a level below where we finished last season.

We need Branthwaite back asap and need to find a way of getting Dibling and Alcaraz more minutes.

Well your an Everton fan so maybe your unrealistic, because there’s nothing pleasing about where we have been in the last few years especially.

I’m pleased that we aren’t circling the drain, I’m pleased that we are looking up and not down, I’m pleased with progress and I’m pleased that we have more to be optimistic about and most of all am pleased about making progress from where we have been.

If you want to ignore all that and cry about a fixture against one team then you mustn’t be seeing the bigger picture like me or maybe you have forgotten about where we are coming from!
