I actually think he’s a huge asset at times in a non conventional attacking sense. The big switch is always on as even contested we likely come out with the ball.
He should push on for Pickfords goal kicks as well. I think if allowed as well he’d be a real threat at the back post from Jacks dinked cutbacks.
He looks clumsy still in a traditional full back sense but he’s playing very well all things considered.
We are so weak in the rb position. Obrien seem to be going backwards at the moment...was solid last season there, and was able to have decent attacking play, but so far looks like an average cb playing rb. Wonder if perhaps garner would be a better option there? I know he is needed in midfield, but we should have a bit more options there now. Imagine having obrien until at least the January window...not great.

Not a massive fan tbh, find him a very clumsy sort of a player. That stuff from Kinnear the other day about how they couldn't find a decent RB all summer was absolute crap imo.
Clumsy is the word...I think both tarks and Keane are better on the ball and much more capable of a shoot or a good long pass than this guy...defensively he is ok, but there is no way he will ever deliver a good ball in the box from the right handside.
He’s good defensively and surprisingly gets forward quite well with decent short pass and move link up play but he’s so clearly built for CB not RB and he’s awful at crossing (much like Myko sadly)
Myko is much better at going forward to be fair...at least when he is match fit which he clearly wasnt today. I would be happy with another myko type player at rb to be honest rather than a cb.
I like obrien and think the plan was prob to give him more game time at cb this season. Does a decent job at rb but just not natural going forward so costs us in some games. I dont want see another myko come in becuase i think we csn do better is another player imo that needs to be a squad player.
Myko is ok but he’s a terrible crosser
We were spoiled with Baines followed by Digne I know but surely we can hope for better

Incerdible specimen and unsung hero imo.
I'd take a new LB over RB right now.
He is always looking to pass forward and good enough to do it.
Can't remember much threat down that lots left.
The way he uses his body and the place is seriously impressive to counter top attackers.
Draws fellow defenders in to close space.
And he looks to get involved in attacks and am sure goals will come his way.
Very solid and not given enough plaudits.
