No massively contentious decisions really. VAR not involved at all.
Ref allowed Grealish to be booted all over the show. He also booked KDH for taking a free kick early.
Didn't give us much but it was at Anfield so there's that I suppose.

Only 3 mins time added on when there were multiple subs, loads of free kicks, free kicks retaken, a goal etc. and we were knocking on the door was a disgrace

Nothing wrong with that free kick at all. Happens a thousand times across all leagues today. Difference on this one, the reds weren’t ready yet.

The booking of KDH for taking a quick free kick is baffling.

Bradley not getting a booking after conceding 4 or 5 fouls against Grealish is poor too

I agree with what Jack said post-match. To be fair, Jack has a reputation of taking the fall and getting a lot of those calls at Citeh. Doesn’t work that way for Everton as he saw today. I thought he had legitimate complaints for no calls today. Could be the refs think he doth protest too much. The yellow for the free kick was atrocious.

Surely the yellow will be recinded very quickly given that he's booked a player for something that's not in the rule book. It's like booking a player for repositioning the football when taking a corner or something—sheer madness.

Obviously not being recinded but once again we'll never see anyone booking for a quick free kick in the Premier League again.

Imagine the RS being awarded a free kick. They take it quickly after seeing an opportunity with momentum in their favour and Szoboszlai buried it in the back of the net. There will be no call and the goal would be the front page featured video of the week on the PL app.
