Yeah thing is even if obrien is at rb could do it if had atleast an attacking lb but we dont. Is like having 4 cb really. Hopefully we can finally see the club bring in a long term rb and aznou can kick on

Yeah exactly. You can probably get away with one being just there as a defender but both of them being unable to do anything in the final third is just a blessing for the opposition.

Yep. You just give their CM the freedom to double up on our wingers. Every time Ndiaye got the ball today he was surrounded

Which means someone is free. We also have to be better at looking up and releasing the ball faster instead of always trying to wiggle out of it. A double and triple team can also be a gift from the other team.

Honestly - the only things I’m annoyed about are the refereeing and the first 20 odd minutes.

Further than that we were the better team and deserved something. We’re showing good progress and Grealish is fantastic - I’d just chalk this one up to the usual dodgy loss at Mordor

To put things in perspective after today, 7 points from 15, in the past few seasons the first 5 have gone as follows

24/25 - 4 defeats, one draw (first win was game 6, we didn’t pass 7 points till 3 games later)

23/24 - 4 defeats, 1 draw (again first win was game 6, took 10 games to hit 9 points)

22/23 - 2 defeats, 3 draws (first win was game 7, hitting the 7 point mark)

21/22 - 3 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat (flew out the traps here before the FSW tried to tank us)

20/21 - 4 wins, 1 draw (best start in years under the Don)

19/20 - 2 wins, 1 draw, 2 defeats (same start as this for Marco’s last 1/2 season)

18/19 - 2 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat (good start)

17/18 - 1 win, 1 draw, 3 defeats (poor start for Moonhead coupled with us labouring through the early Europa ties)

16/17 - 4 wins, 1 draw (when we all thought Moonhead would be a good manager)

15/16 - 2 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat (good start to Martinez’ last season
