The lateness of the subs does show a major issue with Moyes though.

He's rather wait as late as possible before trying to snatch a draw even if it reduces the chances hugely by delaying subs rather than have a greater chance of it being 3-1 over 2-1.

He also caused more uncertainty competing for high balls with Konate than Beto did all game, resulting in our midfield picking up 2nd balls 30-40 yards out instead of just losing them watching a galloping Bambi on ice chase down lost causes

Moyes needs to call that out in his press conference, take the ban that will inevitably follow, but someone has to make a stand.
Be the 1st Moyes, others will follow.

Respect to Moyes but he ain’t the one to lead us into the future. He fears this game more than anything and his unwillingness to make changes when it matters leaves a lot to be desired. I will always regard him highly but come the summer we need to make that change.

he prefers to loose 2:1 than to take any risks and loose perhaps 3:1. Make changes earlier and get a goal…

We must stop the hoofing we play so much better when the ball is on the ground. First 30 mins it was hoofing it up to Beto and we all know he isn’t good at plucking the ball out of the sky it’s not how we should play the ball to him. As soon as we started with the ball on the ground we were all over them and played so well looked to get something out of the game.

I think it was direction from Moyes tbh. Came out hoping to be tight, let them have the ball, pray for a break. It was scared tactics that put us behind.

Not happy at all Matty but looking at the start of the game and 2 quick goals for them, it could have been a whole lot worse. Barry done well when he came on and Dibling looked composed for his cameo, were a new team still learning, we have something to build on.
