Sunderland away on a Monday night is awful for our fans. It’s disgraceful really.

We had 16 games on tv last season.

We will have had 9 of our first 13 this season.
As long as fans keep turning up, nothing will change. The fans need to show some solidarity but haven’t the balls to do it.

I don’t think it’s about not having the balls, people just want to go to the games more than they want to make a point. You have to remember, a lot of people like the games being spread out and for younger generations the Saturday 3pm tradition just isnt a thing, they’ve grown up with games being all over the place and so are much less bothered by it.

When we play Man U on November 24th it will have been only the 6th Monday night game all season (as far as I can tell) and we will have been in 4 of them, 3 of which will have been aways.
Just ridiculous.

that seems mad, i thought they had one every week now

sky having an extra 100 games this year, and 9 teams playing in europe , is going to decimate saturday 3pm

i genuinely would prefer a friday night and saturday night slots (5.30 and 8), to monday night and early ones on saturday and sunday

It's because sly sports got the rights to 215 live games for this season which is a new record for broadcasts.

87 more than last year. Which evenly split would be about 4 games more per team.

If this current rate keeps going for us, we will be one of the biggest beneficiaries of this as 9 from 13 would be about 27 across the season so an increase of 11. (Not complaining mind as means more money unless they keep sticking them all onto a Monday).

They'll chop and change a few as the season unfolds, they'll hype the games affecting the title and the relegation and televise where appropriate for the run in. Be interesting to see if sides go deep in europe how scheduling gets done. Could have games every night of the week.
