Because we had contracted out lots of areas so we didn't need to.We didn’t furlough our staff during covid-19 so we win on a moral level

There is no maximum punishment. That makes no sense.
Firstly, there is no PL rule regarding ownership/management stupidity so could not be applied.
Secondly, our breach did not take us into administration of which the maximum punishment is 9 points…how do you go beyond going bust?
We were hard done by, they didn't accept proper mitigations, Do you think it's a case of the PL saying "we accepted your ludicrous covid calculations but we wont accept valid mitigations" even if they accepted loss of sponsorship due to the war we'd have been under and the can of worms that was opened that day would still be shut they then allowed Manchester United to write off standard business expenses to the exact amount they were over for PSR.. I will maintain that we were hard done by for as long as the PL refuse to punish the scab 6 for breaking financial rules.
I’m not missing the point at all.You are missing the point tho.
People keep saying the PL had it in for us, yet they waved aside 180m in covid loses, which was 3 times the amount of other clubs in the league, without even questioning it.
If they truly had an axe to grind they could have asked WTF we were smoking and gone for us big time.
As it was the PL tried everything they could to give us a pass, but we were simply too incompetent for them to ignore.
I disagree - no one went unpaid, there were no under the counter payments.Luton Town | 30 points | 2008-09
We got away very lightly.
It does not matter what you or I think because it was deemed acceptable by the PL and the auditors.
I take it you pay more tax to HMRC because you feel you should do despite meeting all the criteria for not having to versus your neighbours.
Ok and our mitigation was denied, so why talk about that?I’m not missing the point at all.
The losses were deemed acceptable so why argue the toss whether you or I think they were genuine or not.
As soon as the threat of an independent regulator came into view then that’s when the PLs approach changed and we became the scapegoat.
There is in the PL for going into administration…check the rule book. There is no maximum punishment.
Is that the PL rulebook that was amended after Everton were punished? There is in the PL for going into administration…check the rule book.
The Luton Town punishments were under the EFL which does not apply to the PL.
Neither you or I have any idea what Everton presented as Covid Losses, In fact you could argue that we were hit worse than any club due to covid being the only club in the process of getting a new ground and the cost of materials sky rocketing the cost of the ground went from 500 million to 700 million pre and post covid, there's your 200 million.. If we claimed that and the PL accepted it then that's perfectly legitimate. They tried to help us, thats why they saw it as acceptable.
Arsenal, Spurs and United easily make 5 times more than us per game yet we somehow lost more per season due to covid.
How did we manage that? We still all got the TV money, it was only match day revenue the clubs lost.

That's because it got delayed due to Covid... And it started in 2021 not 2023 after planning was granted in Feb 2020 weeks before covid, building commenced in July 2021 with the price of transport and materials increasing dramatically.Construction never started until 2023.
Once again, construction costs don't count against PSR.
It's mad. Not only did they not try to bury us, but in fact, "tried to help us". Feel like i'm in the twilight zoneDidn’t have defence of the premier league and their actions against everton on my GoT bingo card, I must admit.
