2025/26 Dwight McNeil

I think he can still do a job at this level ut problem is what team does his profile fit is very one paced. And i think has it in him with an attacking fb to be able to cut inside a have shots at gaol becuase has a good shot on him and a good cross. Just doesnt really fit the profile pf what teams want now in wingers being able play both sides and have pace. Is a player ike doucoure for me will thank them for the time and moments at the club, but as a team we have moved on
yeh i have no idea how comfortable he would be at the back or what his positioning would be like, but i can see him moving further back the field if he stays in the prem a la Ashley Young. he is a bit of anomaly as a left sided left footed attacker, most play off the right now

he is a decent player but not technically good enough to make up for his lack of pace

You want some.

At times hes been our best player, that time has now gone and we've upgraded. Its positive.
he was't even the best player in the Burnley side we bought him from, he encapsulated everything average about our squad, his stats may have tilted him toward beings a promising player, but lets not pretend he was our best player, he was dire, lightweight and never ever EVER came come to being a reliable threat.

I somehow feel like youre both correct.

Ok Bri

mick agrees with me, so im ok with that. He was a very average player in a below average side, i will settle for above average player, but best? not even close. Pickford kept us in the league, DCL scored some very important goals. What exactly did Dwight do? scored away at a brighton collapse? I honesly can't remember him doing anything remotely helpful, Moyes walks in and tells him hes got no locker, proper manager.

I like him, he's different and drifts around finding pockets and decent crosses.

He's not a tracking back, type.

- VS Villa, I thought he could've come on for Jack with Alcaraz coming in centrally for KDH to mix things up.
- We could've gone three at the back to make room for Dibling too.

villa had one shot on target.

I feel McNeil's an option to freshen that up, but will Moyes play him?

I feel there will be umpteen games this season where Moyes' caution means we stick, rather than 'twist' and McNeil will lose game time.

Good grief. I mean this with no malice, but I'm really glad you aren't making the decisions mate.

On Saturday we had 9 starters who were here last season. Your changes would have basically meant that last seasons team was on the pitch. No thanks. Those two you wanted to take off are the main reason we've looked better this season.
