New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Got the opposite problem (not really a problem I suppose! šŸ˜‚) to what a lot are reporting on the Through Pass stand....I don't seem to have been charged at all for Saturday. Scanned in, grabbed a pint, walked out. Did it at Roma and got charged the right amount, but not even the Ā£20 initial fee has come off this time!
What type card, what stand mate.. asking for a friend šŸ‘

The gaps for Brighton was for an allocation that had sod all to do with SeatUnique. They didn't have an allocation there, and besides, had completely sold out. Same was true in the cup game etc.

The delay for people returning to their seats have sod all to do with SeatUnique either, they've not got that level of allocation. It's what happens at every stadium in the real premium hospitality bits.
I dont know whether it's seat unique or not; their name was brought up by @Cjplennon.

If it's not seat unique then it must be another company because the empty seats tend to be in clusters.

From what I saw with my own eyes from upper south stand the gaps were in the premium hospitality area. So if they were not seat unique seats than I don't know what to say, it must be some other corporate organisation that had bought them and decided not to show up or could not sell them. Same point goes that I was trying to make previously as to it not being Evertons issue to resolve.

It makes sense for them to be Seat Unique. They'll want to be able to sell tickets in groups of 2, 4 or maybe even 10. The club will therefore have set aside a group of seats together.

It would look much better, if the 500 seats (a complete guess) sold to Seat Unique were done in groups of 8-10, but scattered throughout the ground. A few hundred empty seats scattered all over the place is much more inconspicuous than them all in one group.

Yes, perhaps that is the learning from this. Will take a little time to resolve if they actually feel the need to resolve I imagine.

Should have been done before the first night match not as an afterthought. After Mansfield people were walking up Walter St. in pitch black. Surprised the Titanic Hotel hadn't complained before now.

The business seats will be together for access to the business lounge and the business bars. It's like getting on an airplane and turning left.

Perhaps shouldn't make assumptions when being so critical, it makes assertive views in how to resolve have less substance.

SeatUnique was sold out for the below. My guess is a package wasn't ready, or a company booked them and didn't issue the tickets to staff/clients. Or, Everton didn't allocate them properly to partners;

Everton allocate tickets. So games like Mansfield, SeatUnique sold out 3 times as they kept getting more and more allocation. The game then had lots of empty seats, because IMO, Everton made it almost impossible to pass on tickets etc.

Either way, we're all guessing but any empty seats in the stadium is on Everton.

It can't just be individuals who couldn't make the match, though, as they wouldn't be in blocks of seats (as shown in your pictures). I have no idea which particular organisation is responsible for the banks of empty seats, as the ticketing system has been fragmented as a consequence of the increased corporatisation, but they are defined areas of seats that are empty so it is either unsold offerings via third parties or large groups who are unable to attend en masse (presumably hospitality groups or corporate sponsors, perhaps?). If it was simply season ticket holders who couldn't make it it would be a seat or two here and there (which I am sure is also the case) not a block of seats numbering in the tens. Whatever the reason, and I accept it is early days in the management of the stadium, it is a bad look to have substantial areas of empty seats when fans who want to attend can't get tickets except at eye-watering prices.

The passing on of tickets is a different issue IMO from the empty banks of seats.
I still dont know how it's on Everton that folk are annoyed they cant pass on a ticket to any tom dick or harry. The rules are the rules about passing on tickets. You surely buy a season ticket to go to the majority of games and if you cant go and have no freinds and family members who can go then resale is always an easy option where it is almost gaurenteed to sell to a member who will be bum on seat. Options seemed clear to me. Everton have the money for the seat in any case.
Perhaps Everton have made some errors with corporate sales, but that is total guesswork but all seemed to be much better for Villa where there was not as was previously quoted 'huge' amounts of empty seats as verified by the official attendance.

Nobody has said it it's individuals who couldn't make the match.

It is another issue, but on difficulty of transferring tickets - already give my opinion after Mansfield;

Perhaps some premium allocation didn't get reallocated/shifted but Seat Unique was sold out yesterday.

The issue as long predicted is the lack of ability to readily transfer tickets.

Life gets in the way sometimes, and people can't give their tickets away without a real faff.

Older fans aren't arsing about with that ticket transfer stuff. I'm 30s and I shudder if I have to login to Everton ticketing. Try calling? 3-6hour wait.

Countless times over the years I've had a spare, and would give it away. People take nieces/nephews their first game etc - they might not be invested in football/Everton, but they get a chance to start their journey. Students new to the city go the game. Now? There's a significant obstacle of requiring membership.

Empty seats will be inevitable when Everton create barriers to transfer tickets, in their pursuit of forcing paid annual memberships. It'll get worse as the season goes on too, as people wont be paying annual membership with fewer games of the season to go.

Empty seats will be inevitable because of it - without question. Thousands of Evertonians cant even use the clubs ticket resale facility.

The big sections of empty seats will be quickly resolved, and already mainly has as Everton/partners suss allocations/timings.

You said it was one of the reasons.

That was another point/rant generally - about Mansfield game.

Mansfield sold out;

But the attendance was 48,583/there was a lot of individual empty seats which annoyed fans desperate for a ticket

The difference wasn't just the segregation between fans, nor a big gap of hospitality. It was mainly ticket transfer issues.

IMO, they'll sort the hospitality gap - and they already have as far as I could see. But in time, there will still be more gaps around the stadium than we're used to because of forced digital tickets - like Mansfield.

Hopefully I can go to all the home games this season but if I can't there's no way I'm passing my digital ST on, too risky & stressful.
When I had a card I just gave it to a friend for one match.
