Player Valuation: £70m
Always defended this guy. He's always done well but his errors have been glaring. He's a good player and also a goal threat. Great pro and deserves every success.
My money is on Garner, has been since the summer. Started well which has held them off for now. Also, this forum needs to feed off a boo boy. It was Pickford a few years back. This place is not a measure of the fans feelings
Funny you say that as I nearly put him in my post. It was bubbling under before. My money is on Garner, has been since the summer. Started well which has held them off for now.
Confidence issues has definitely had a massive impact on his game, I know it sounds stupid cos everyone needs confidence, but with keane he seems to carry it for a lot longer..Whether you like him or not, he’s a decent body for the squad.
Hardly ever injured and is very much a confidence player.
It's very fair, but I won't be appointing you as my barrister based on that summationAlways defended this guy. He's always done well but his errors have been glaring. He's a good player and also a goal threat. Great pro and deserves every success.
No. I dont think I have slagged him in general at all. Maybe an odd game but generally been fine with him. Someone else?Thought he'd won lots of MOM awards not just a contender? Changed your tune with some facts presented.
There were some absolute lumpings under Lampard.
Looking at the numbers its so pleasing to see him turning it around. Everyone loves a comeback story, they're my favourite anyway. If he ends up making another mistake in the near future, I will be gutted for him. He's a confidence player, he will feel like he's hit the bottom.
People always have their own personal relatable stories to footy players and my own sporting "career" is relatable to Keanes, I was basically a 'choker', did the hard yards and failed when it mattered, and mentally its incredibly tough. I am genuinely enjoying his resurgence but im worried if he's mentally strong enough.
A lot of credit should be given to Moyes by the way. He's turned Keane and Beto around since joining. Quality man management.
Barry or Beto is my bet.My money is on Garner, has been since the summer. Started well which has held them off for now.
Yeah, you just mentioned whoever's closest always makes the most mistakes, despite the fact I told you it's measured against his own teammates in the same positions and he's worse, similar to how we conceded more with him on the pitch, but that - you understood. You’re misunderstanding again, you’re good at that at least. I never mentioned goalkeepers at all, you’ve just that made up to make yourself feel better. I’m not a boomer. I never said Keane was good or that this was his normal form, annd that was absolutely nothing like my logic in the Beto thread (I even said as much in so many words, twice). Apart from that, another 10/10 post from you.
Nope, still not quite grasped it mate. I was just saying defenders are always going to make more mistakes leading to goals than other players, it's the nature of the beast. You named 2 defenders and said they led the way in mistakes leading to goals and i'm just saying well they will won't they? It's really not that deep. If we were saying Keane had made more mistakes leading to goals than any other player in the top 5 European leagues then that would be a point with some merit, but 'Keane isn't as good as Branthwaite' is hardly front page news.Yeah, you just mentioned whoever's closest always makes the most mistakes, despite the fact I told you it's measured against his own teammates in the same positions and he's worse, similar to how we conceded more with him on the pitch, but that - you understood.
Whatever buddy, you do you.
This site seems to break down all his minutes and goals conceded while he was on the pitch, so working out goals conceded per 90 (just league I’m looking at). Seems the fairest way to look at it instead of just time he has played a certain amount of minutes.Stat was worked out a year ago. From his entire time here playing at least half the match 2.56 goals a game. Without him, 1.24 goals a game.
I'm glad you dug that out, I was genuinely astonished by the stat because it seemed so ludicrous but was willing to believe someone hadn't just made it up. I should have known better. This site seems to break down all his minutes and goals conceded while he was on the pitch, so working out goals conceded per 90 (just league I’m looking at). His worst spell has unsurprisingly come under Dyche. But the majority of seasons, I’d happily take him as a 4th choice CB.
It’s probably a genuine stat but it’s cherry picking time periods and specific games when he has played an arbitrary amount of minutes.I'm glad you dug that out, I was genuinely astonished by the stat because it seemed so ludicrous but was willing to believe someone hadn't just made it up. I should have known better.
