People see different things, I listened to a podcast who actually praised Barry for his movement off the ball saying it was fantastic and I’ve heard a lot of other fans say the same
The argument for sticking with Beto seems to be he gets stuck in and gives CB’s a tough time from a physical point of view.

I also think we have watched some terrible strikers over the last 15yrs bar Lukaku. That a lot of our fans are obsessed with a guy who tries and is big and strong.
I’ve criticised Beto on here recently too but still think he will be more of a threat currently

Fair enough we see different things. I've seen nothing exceptional in his movement off the ball, just basic stuff, he just doesn't seem a threat in the box unfortunately (hope I'm wrong and he comes good). Beto is ridiculous as well, when he shielded the ball when through in the Wolves box as if he was a defender instead of shooting and then kicking the ball and hitting his other foot in the 6 yard box v's Villa also fills me with dismay but at least he gets into those positions I guess. We need to buy another striker pronto

Barry couldn't even get a start for the French u21 team, was on the bench most games, played in the Swiss league and in Spain and still has a lot too prove if you watched any of the videos with him in. Id be doubtful he ever gets up too full speed in the PL, just doesn't look the type imo, hope I'm wrong though.
I'm not sure if he is good enough or not but he has played in 4 leagues and scored goals in all of them.

He is not (or should not be) a project like Chermiti was. He should be ready to contribute straight away, if he can't then we have messed up again.

I don't think he has been that bad to be fair, just not really done much either.

I'm more concerned about what's going on with his wrist. It's very Oumar.

This is why I don’t trust anyone’s opinion on anything Everton related on here. Did you go to the game? I’m guessing no because Barry was anything but, “disinterested”.

Yes I actually did, Barry had a very decent run but couldn't get his shot off, but didn't do much else, from what I saw from my seat, just my opinion I'm sure others are different don't fret.

Who would you rather start Vs Liverpool?
i wonder why we keep signing lads who are and don't look they are ready for premier league footy, when they pull on a blue shirt i know hes young and needs time, but the RS signed a player of the same age and similar appearance records, however Barry has more goals that the other feller. Barry = 134/61 Hugo = 156/53. Whereas Hugo has looked a player since he has come on for them.

It's on Moyes again, i get Beto is showing promise - but missing them efforts on Saturday, he should not be starting another game, needs to learn that his job is to score.

He was crucial for both goals that earned us our first 3 points of the season because of his strength and technical qualities. He also has the physical attributes that shine in the PL. We just need to play him and accept the deficiencies for him to improve. Its not like Beto is a player without his own deficiencies.

missing out on Delap was a big one. he would have the composure to put those chances away and is good enough with the ball and between the ears to be on the same wavelength as the Shinnity.

but all good stories take time. the ring doesn’t get destroyed in the first book

we’ll finish top 8 with Beto and Barry, then get a Delap or Ferguson type in next year to take us into europe

then said striker gets us the winner in the 2028 conference league final

I think we should use Alcarez as a false Nine until Barry gets up to speed , Charly's surprisingly good at headers and can shoot nicely
Only half serious with this post

not entirely against it plus Moyes can pretend he’s Cahill, stick Merlin at 10 and it’s essentially 08/09 with Felli and Tim up top. we’ll have 5th place and a cup final like

in all seriousness would love to see us try Ili up front

The choice is would I rather get a punch in the face or a kick in the balls. Play anyone else up front.

Not writing off Barry yet but he needs time, lots of it.
Beto is going to cost us many points this season.

More likely it’s very Vardy and he had a purple patch once while wearing a wrist brace so he does it for luck/thinks it looks cool
