Barry Vs Beto

Who would you rather start?

I think Beto needs to start next game, as he's not scared to mix it with their defence and should at least cause them some problems. Can't see Barry doing that — at least not yet — and think he'd be kept quiet far too easily.

Somehow only really just clocked that Wolves is only three days after Liverpool. Beto will start the derby and Barry will start against Wolves. Be good to see him for an hour against Premier League opposition.

Actually might see a good bit of rotation and get some longer looks at Rohl, Dibling and Aznou too.

I think some peoples memories of the last anfield derby are a bit different to mine. Beto caused them some problems in the first half by being a bit unorthodox and them not quite knowing how to play him but they pocketed him in the second half and his inability to keep hold of the ball was a massive problem for us.

Against Liverpool at the pit, Beto.

Against Wolves in the Cup then back home against West Ham, Barry.

Also think Ndiyae up top is an option to consider at some point in the season once Dibling has found his feet. Not for every game, but at the right moments.

We're too dependent upon the long out ball to relieve pressure to not use a proper striker with the physicality to fight for those. As good as Ndiaye is it just isn't a fit for this team.

Both crap. At least Barry has time to improve—no idea at all why £30m was spent on potential when our only other striker is absolutely garbage.

We desperately needed a striker for here and now.

Gigantic failure by the board that was cost us hugely this season when European places are well and truly open.

Failure to act early in January and it'll be a case of trying to finish at close to top 10 as possible.
