One thing was bothering me about the move but I'm happy to say I've got good ' neighbours ' once again in my section having been seperated from the ones I sat by at Goodison . Different people but sound .

There's a surefire way of slashing queues inside the stadium: allow fans to take one soft drink in with them and one item of food.

Heaven forfend that rebellion against fan commodification ever gets off the ground though.

They could just have vending machines for cold drinks, hot drinks even hot pies etc.

I know it sounds a bit stupid but bottles with lids on or cans are a safety issue. Not just because they can be launched but if there needs to be an evacuation they are trip hazards or you might roll your ankle on them. There is also then the issue that it is just a bit harder to clean up if people leave bottle tops everywhere.

Agree that food/snacks in a vending machine could be an option though

For me, I’ve always resented having to chug my pint before getting out to my seat.

Concourses are crap places for having a drink - and I hate having to rush it.

Like you say, though, there are clearly those for whom it’s a way of life and I wouldn’t question anyone’s preferences in that regard.

I actually much prefer the vibe at the new ground, with the great big space around the ground to get and enjoy a drink before the game.

I say this without having yet attended a match there in the cold and rain, of course.

Is anyone using, or has anyone spotted any car parks north of the stadium, towards Bootle way? I’m just looking for an alternative to the car parks on the way back into town

There’s a few at the bottom of Bankhall mate. In the industrial area.
Try Forge Street. There’s a few round there.

Agree mate. It's not hyberbole either. Ive been to countless stadiums and arenas over the years and Club Views the only one one I've been unable to get served. Twice.





It would be a massive difference. The club have been told this.

I also think there's commercial reasons why they won't allow discount to be stacked one on transaction - because forcing £10 discount per transaction dictates you lose a few quid, or spend a few quid.

I was able to use two vouchers on one transaction for an order value of £30. It all depends on whether the member of staff know what they’re doing. That still won’t get close to solving the problems though…….
