ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I feel embarrassed for football in this league. Genuinely.

Apparently their winners in the first 4 games have been 88, 100, 83 and 95 minutes.

I mean, how obvious do these officials have to be to underline it's a disgraceful assault on sporting integrity?

And how bankrupt do these commentators and pundits have to be to keep on trotting out the "champions find a way" nonsense? I'm embarrassed for them. They're not credible people.

IMO it's over. The PL is over in mid-September because we can easily see the pre-determined pattern now. Hope not, but I doubt it.

Liverpool by about 15 - 20 points in May.
Nah they are pedestrian. Salah isn't the player he was, they've sold Diaz and sadly lost Jota. Isak is a good striker but not particularly pacy. If they lose a game or two I think the doubt might creep in. That said nobody else is much good either.

Actually I see a bit of the Martínez effect here. Last season was a mix of Klopps set up and slotts. This season I see them playing so hight up the pitch and making lots of passes in the final third. They will struggle on the counter a lot this year

I'd love to believe this will come down to talent v talent. But it wont.

Surely no one can seriously believe these late goals and sendings off and penalties are the result of honest decision making?

That's just not possible. These decisions are made to create the outcome that's required.

They'll be handed a 15 point lead going into the last 5 games or so. They wont leave it to chance for them, just like they didn't on the last two occasions.

It's done as far as I'm concerned.

Burnley did the same thing in their last match. Newcastle always throw it away against them, and they were ahead for the vast majority of the match against Bournemouth so that's e bit if a misleading one. The Arsenal goal was about 15 minutes from the end of time played so hardly that late. I wouldn't be unduly worried at this time, the main thing is they don't look very good.

I hope you're right.

One thing: the UEFA officials aren't in their pocket like English officials and I can see that lot getting nowhere near a CL win.
