New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Something needs doing, it’s one big car park at the moment. The stupid bus cones thing they keep doing doesn’t seem to be working properly. Gridlock getting to BMD, and a disaster getting away after the game.
I’m afraid I’m contributing to this as I travel in/out this way. It took a good 20 minuted to travel the last half mile. I have made a decision to leave games as soon as the board goes up as this is a 45 minute post match difference between getting away reasonably quickly or being in the gridlock after the game. (I have a 2.5 hour journey ahead once on the M58) all in its probably the same as the walk from Goodison to Stanley Car park and the bottleneck getting out of there.

Me too.

Just so happens that one of my new neighbours is a fella that I hope will be PM at some point before the next election 🤞
Is right

Seen him a few times having a bevy before the game, always seemed sound . Don’t get too excited though he might end up in hospo once he gets the big job or you’ll get shifted for some monster of a bodyguard

I was in that 919 queue Manx, and due to a recent foot injury had no option on walking.
The first two buses filled up quick smart and set off about 5.20 they then had to drive into town and then fight their way back in.
One arrived at about 6.35 by then the road clean up gang had come along and removed all the bus lane cones !!
I Arrived at Commutation Row pretty quickly though it had to be said.

But for 1 and a quarter hours we were all stood there watching the traffic go by*
*Now at gone 6 o'clock was this match traffic or general traffic??

Living in Australia and at my age, this was my one and only time.
God help the poor punters who will have to do it on a regular basis, especially in the winter when its cold dark and wet.
I'm as keen an Evertonian as the next bloke but there no way I'd be doing that on a regular basis - sod that for a lark.

I know its only Game 2 and it's early days yet, but somebody (Who ?) needs a good arse kicking for this.

It's not too hard...
Pre-match the bus numbers are maybe OK (??) because people arrive over 2 and a half hours
post match - put on more buses to cope with the short term load and make them free to speed the loading process...include it in the already exorbitantly expensive ticket.
I know 52,000 people won't use public transport so a nominal 25p?? out of the ticket price and pay the bus companies direct.

Get somebody in charge who knows wtf they're doing !!
I’m so sorry to learn that you had such a grim time of it. That delay was unconscionable. I walked from the 919 bus stop to Lime St. in 27 minutes and caught my preferred train only because it was delayed by 15 mins. Even so, I’d been underway on the train for 20 minutes before your bus arrived. Absolutely unacceptable. The much-merited arse kicking should be firmly applied to whichever manager at Stagecoach is responsible for this service. They’ve put it on, they should deliver an acceptable service. If they can’t, then take a hike lads and let Arriva do it, because their 929 to Liverpool One has been fine since day 1. Finally, I hope your foot injury is resolved fully and swiftly. 👍🏻

Not defending Stagecoach but if they'd put 20 buses on it wouldn't alter the fact they can't get through the traffic .
