New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Theres a cycle lane right along the road back to town. If someone could have a rickshaw there ready for me at full time perhaps i could do it in 26 minutes.
I said this!!! It’s a money maker! Make one of them drinking bikes that they peddle themselves you see in Prague.

Inside the stadium working much better yesterday, less queuing, faster service at the bars, don’t think anything ran out near us, much better entrance to the ground at entrance 2, all a much better experience.

Atmosphere was fine, loud and angry at points following that disgusting ref performance.

The transport and roads situation, however, is a disgrace and is getting worse each game imo.

Everton need to get Rotherham and the council on the hook for their disgusting support thus far and get some real plans and positive amendments in place quickly.

Thought it was good yesterday , getting served was easy and less people milling about , presumably because they’ve taken a lot in already . Sorted out HT spot as well .

I think The rain , and the novelty wearing off , meant a lot less walked but the taxis to drop people off was remarkably easy . Boozers by the ground are ok as well although they get busy quick . I think by Christmas everyone will be well settled into their new routines .

I agree about the roads but I don't know what can be done to ease the congestion apart from closing Great Howard St. to cars and make it buses and cabs only ? When I went to get the 919 back to town 3 full buses set off , leaving one which I managed to get on .It couldn't move at all for 10 min. and then crawled to Leeds Street where traffic was coming up from The Strand and blocking the junction. We saw a few 919's coming back up Great Howard St. which I thought odd because how do they get turned round - they usually go up Scottie and into Blackstone St.
No problem getting from town to BMD but next time I'm walking back

Something needs doing, it’s one big car park at the moment. The stupid bus cones thing they keep doing doesn’t seem to be working properly. Gridlock getting to BMD, and a disaster getting away after the game.

We had issues getting to BMD from town on the test events and haven’t tried since, so good if that’s been addressed, but it’s much better to walk back to town than any of the bus options.

Glad Sandhills seems to be working as well, but it’s the parking and roads that’s the mess, it’s shambolic.

Took our Grandaughter to her first match yesterday, North stand gave her a mini tour around the ground and bought her an Everton blue shirt and drinking vessel, got 10% off as a season ticket holder, queues were massive to the tills, loads of tills though, queue soon went down, shop well staffed and extremely polite, all in all an excellent experience. She was asked by staff member who her favourite player was, Iris replied Michael Keane ! I said I thought it was Beto, she replied no that's Nan's.... She loved the match but complained she couldn't see when everyone jumped up off their seats, when we looked like scoring, all in all a great day, think our staff at bars, shops are very helpfull.

Part of it is tied to the North Stand, when I was there for Mansfield it was an utter breeze to walk around, only had about a 5-10 minute wait to get a drink
I suspected as much. Mind you, did Mansfield fill that end because they had the whole of that away end (the three lower deck blocks) plus the blocks above it.

There was loads. I thought there'd been crowd disorder when I first stared watching.

I think what it is is that the club have employed, early doors, a lot of stewards to oversee the inevitable confusion of the ticketing regime and pointing out to fans where they have to be once inside. Maybe that level of stewarding will go down after a season as the wrinkles are ironed out.

They all seem to be in the stadium though once the game starts. I bet half of them are Kopites too.
You seem to have forgotten how many used to circle the pitch at Goodison at the end of games.

Arrived yesterday to find other people sat in our seats. I don't think they really grasped the idea of the seating arrangements, as the woman seemed to think all that was required was to find the correct row and sit anywhere on that row. I pointed out where their actual seats were, but they went and sat in some different ones anyway 🤷‍♂️
Tourists?

My routine is pretty much there. Train into Moorfields, walk down to the Invisible Wind Factory. 2 pints in there. Intonthw ground. Avoid the toilets central to the upper south at ALL costs at half time.

Leave centrally after the game, straight out no messing, pint in IWF again, with a bit of live music, then back to Moorfields and out. The walking is about the ame as I used to do at Goodison.

I hope everybody gets their days sorted out.

I did avoid the Mansfield game though, as I wasnt sure about the whole getting home at night thing....

Villa fans were limited to one rendition of you sold your soul before they gave up and then in the second half began a rendition of is this a library and then gave up halfway through when they saw us on the attack

I think villa fans kinda just gave up taunting us when they realised how crap their team was playing and were relieved to be going home with a point

All I heard from them was the occasional “villa villa villa” chant
I feel it was more to do with it being difficult to get an atmosphere going in this ground unless everyone in it is joining in.

Weve Tried the IWF , Murphy’s and ten streets , do the blue house and terrace bar to complete our reconnaissance

I don’t mind the walk but the weather might mean I don’t fancy the stroll from town , taxi to those bars was easy to be honest . The walk back to town from them is easy enough .

Love our new home
