The idea itself is a valid one, proven because people like yourself have bought up for it. I spend more than £10 a game, so it would have its merits.
Yet, the issue at hand is that the facilities are unable to stand up to the demand it has created because, rightly so, everyone wants to use their credit.
My humble take is the club needs to ensure a) there's enough tills, b) the process is efficient, c) the staff are adequately trained and d) ample space.
Right now, point A has been (partially) dealt with at least, although not entirely, whilst B and C clearly are nowhere near prepared. Point D is difficult.
You talked about halving the waiting time, and potentially if the club correctly addresses two of the first three points, then this may be the case.
Until they have, the club need to reduce the demand by offering refunds, perhaps in a way where people can choose to keep it or get the refund.
The flip side will be the club may never be able to find the balance for it to be successful if they fully refund everyone, and people stop using the tills.
Although far less severe, the club haven't really put much info out about how you can claim rewards by scanning your ST at the tills.
Get your rewards points ladies and gentlemen!
