New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Didn't the club once claim that the stadium would feel like it had the spaciousness of a stadium in excess of 60,000?

One thing is for sure: if so called safe standing areas were authorised now then the congestion on the concourses already experienced would rule out their use.

There did not sound like there was 10k in there on the radio, never mind 52k. Was it as quiet as it sounded or just crap atmosphere?

I ain’t spending £700 for a decent experience if that’s true

(Crap fan me, lads)

It would be a massive difference. The club have been told this.

Their catering partner have a digital first agenda though;
The idea itself is a valid one, proven because people like yourself have bought up for it. I spend more than £10 a game, so it would have its merits.

Yet, the issue at hand is that the facilities are unable to stand up to the demand it has created because, rightly so, everyone wants to use their credit.

My humble take is the club needs to ensure a) there's enough tills, b) the process is efficient, c) the staff are adequately trained and d) ample space.

Right now, point A has been (partially) dealt with at least, although not entirely, whilst B and C clearly are nowhere near prepared. Point D is difficult.

You talked about halving the waiting time, and potentially if the club correctly addresses two of the first three points, then this may be the case.

Until they have, the club need to reduce the demand by offering refunds, perhaps in a way where people can choose to keep it or get the refund.

The flip side will be the club may never be able to find the balance for it to be successful if they fully refund everyone, and people stop using the tills.

Although far less severe, the club haven't really put much info out about how you can claim rewards by scanning your ST at the tills.

Get your rewards points ladies and gentlemen!

On a wider note the nonsensical rule of no drinks in seats exacerbates these issues.
More space in concourses, more of a selling window, even seat sales possible.
I'll check out the rugby in November. I bet its much easier round
I'll bet the rules on food and drink are relaxed for the WSL game between Everton and United at the new stadium.

...and paid.

I didn't get searched going in yesterday. Usually they would pat you down. Could've took a bottle of water in with me or something. Was anyone else physically searched?
Not me , I've never been searched at BMD in 4 visits . I just hold my phone up , glare at the stewards and walk through. No way they're having my Tic-Tacs .

There been loads of noise mate - club statements within hours of full time and efforts to improve it don't happen without that amount of noise. It hit national papers, and there was a journalist yesterday taking a picture of the queue - no doubt there on the back of noise.

After 3 games now, I think the best bet is to spend money/time in town, get to the stadium last minute and if you want to use the voucher - use it after the match to get a pie or something for the way home. At Goodison you could always get served - it's 40+ mins in club view. I'd rather just be hungry or thirsty.

If you'd rather spend in the stadium, someone on twitter made a point that you can also leave club view by the terraces an go down another route - then you'll have quicker access to bars and more choice. Obviously though that's not club view so can't spend.
The thing is with all that is that we are having to create work arounds and not getting the experience originally sold. You shouldn’t have to choose to sit there thirsty and hungry, you paid more than normal for what was sold as a better experience.

I have contacted the club, which is all I can really do now. Worst case scenario is I put up with it this year and next year don’t do club view again!

I went in with very low expectations. When you're adding things like food credit, programmes and former players milling around - you know it's a bit desperate to add value. I bought only for a side view.

But I expected to be able to get a drink over an hour before kick off. Just mirroring Goodisons catering would have been good.

Others went in with, IMO, overinflated ideas. Others though, are paying £200 a ticket which is incredible..

I've been to a few big rugby league games and found the atmosphere non existent so I'd hope the game in November doesn't outshine us!
