2025/26 Jack Grealish

Have we already started to over rely on Grealish? I’m all for getting value out of a loan, but Villa seemed to double team him whenever they could. He got plenty of crosses in though, just no luck at the other end.
I think we are relying on Beto having more luck than not, he aint composed, he's just gonna have a go at goal and pretty much snatch at any chance, when he's lucky it finds a way in, he's never gonna sit a keeper down or dance the ball round him, he doesn't have that skillset.
Moyes needs a Yakubu, that out and out finisher, a natural.

We need to be less telegraphed not everything has to go through him, then we need to be clever about how we use the pace deter if three players around him.
It'll come, he had Garner LB yesterday, if there was a Stones type CB that could wedge the ball about accurate sides wouldn't be able to isolate like they have. Thing is, we're rotating different players in and getting them used to games, so options will present themselves when we have variants of play to introduce in games where oppositions are tired. Need that Yakubu cold blooded finisher.

They put two men on him or even three DM has to adjust the line to stop that happening - They made a change in midfield & DM just scratched his head - his changes again were far too late - the way they were playing for a draw & that 8 second rule was blown out the water by Villa yesterday - Martinez must have taken 30 seconds each time to release the ball & it started as the game commenced - Grealish was man marked out of the game - but still caused trouble ... Villa got the 0-0 they came for with the referee on fouls & time wasting being their best player - lets see if Pickford can get away with that next game with the other lot - I doubt it very much ....

Let him roam. He knows where is the soft spot and he knows how to utilize the space.

Back in Villa days Dean Smith built a network of position switching around him. Villa's CF AM and CM LB all can swap position with Grealish on the LW. And Grealish popped up on the right occasionally. It just drove the opposite side crazy. Liverpool and United once had to put on a CM to mark him around the pitch literally every step. But he still could get rid of the marker when doing set pieces.

David has all the cards on his hand. Just need to practice it in training.

Remember Van Dyke on James Rodrigues. Took him out of the derby in minutes. Nothing ever got said about it. Remember his awful tackle on Onana, nothing ever gets said about it. I do hope that nobody tries to purposely take him out.

One thing I like about Jack is he stands up for himself on the pitch.

I remember arsenal trying to get rough with him a season or two back and he grabbed Partey by the collar and nearly lifted him off the ground. Same when Simeone's Atletico tried getting rough with him.

He is no softy

yeah

Grealish is not softy. Quite contrary. A big game player and never shy from crowd.

Just need to stay calm. He needs to take care of himself. Don't do those unnecessary clapping for the ref and focus focus focus.

Don't hesitate on the ball, do some run from behind and try to get into the box. Dont overcomplicate things and remember to keep you body towards goal ready for take a shot.

I think that he lost his temper a little bit and grow a bit frustrated (like all of us) in the last game. He got huge pressure to get into the England team and it makes him a bit unsettled.
