You could see why he kept on the 3 lads today, they were playing reasonably well and on another day we win by 2 or 3.

I thought we did ok today, just the final ball and people a bit wasteful.

Tough game up next, for sure.

The team played well and was banging on the door. I get why Moyes wouldn’t have wanted to mess a team that was making so many chances. As much as I think Alcaraz should’ve been brought on, this one lands squarely on the players.They had more than enough opportunities to put the game to bed.

Judging him on the same metrics as the previous manager was allowed.

We won’t win every game. A point against a team we haven’t beaten since they got promoted and who are a better side than their league position suggests is fine, even if we should have won.

His subs were frustrating yesterday. Beto should have been off way earlier and Dibling should have been on for Ndiaye who looked tired towards the end.

His subs are always frustrating. Very rarely does he change things around until around 70 minutes or unless things go badly wrong. The United game last season the perfect example, you could see them getting back into the game as the second half developed, but he waited till it got back to 2-2 to bring on some fresh legs. I`m not expecting him to change his whole tactical approach during the game, but surely a couple of subs on when you see that the opposition are dealing well with things as they are could make a difference.

Yesterday was more a game where I'm frustrated we haven't won because we were by far the better team rather than last season where I was frustrated we lost because we were so rubbish and it looked like we would be in danger of relegation. Frustrating, but progress.

Any fans moaning after today need a reality check, if we drew against villa last season it would have been a good point, today we are coming away feeling disappointed that we didn't take all 3 points, Moyes has changed that thinking in less than 6 months

Hate this type of post, frankly it's garbage. Any game and the way the manager deals with in game management is fair game for discussion/criticism. The manager made a couple of like for like swaps and sat on his hands. He made no attacking substitutions against a Villa team who offered pretty much zero attacking threat. If your defence for this approach is simply it was better than last season then I'd say you need a reality check.
