New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I thought the atmosphere sounded really poor today. 3pm kick off, good start to the season and Villa at home: all the ingredients for a decent crowd but it just didn't happen. I guess that's been the case for years at Goodison as well but we are where we are as a fan base where people like to sit in silence for the majority of the game.
I thought it was pretty good throughout tbh

I dont know if anyone takes them seriously, but if they do they must surely be deluged with complaints over the running of this stadium.

It's dire. And 'teething problems' is going to wear real thin, real fast soon enough.

Yeah, great facility. But now run it properly you 'kin amateurs.
Yesh i kno will be alot of complaints like the club view ect but just good if we get a statement from the club about things. Was in another post here how a ladies season ticket not working. Should be the first thing that should be fixed imo the whole ticket problems transering them and actually get the cards to work is baisic. Also i am not a massive fan of a fan board but would think this is one of the main reasons to have one

I live abroad so only pick it up on the TV but it sounded as bad as Goodison did for the last 5 years give or take the odd relegation do or die game. There was the spirit of the blues being sang when Digne was down injured in the 2nd half, but that aside it came across as very quiet.

Hopefully it's for our benefit Dave but the ones who you pass through the walls checking tickets and so forth noticed way they were speaking to people called one of them a absolute tool to his face didn't have a clue.,
Disgusting that. I've only been there once but I noticed straight away what an ignorant bunch they were. And reading the experience of others that seems to be confirmed.

Made my blood boil there today seeing an army of them watching the game in the stadium. Hi-viz jackets everywhere all game like they owned the bleeding place. They're surely not trained to be in the stadium like that? Something wrong somewhere there...and then it was all topped of with one of them congratulating Harvey Elliott on his return to Merseyside. Someone needs to have a word with this lot and quick or there'll be a lot of trouble down there.

Their reputation is in the bin already IMO.

To add to my last post, you usually hear away fans singing for 90 mins. Every time they piped up, we drowned them out and they give up. Don’t understand how some people can say the atmosphere was brilliant and others say it was quite and crap.

It didn't come across like that on TV. We sounded largely silent for most of the game and most of the noise came from their end.

My 1st game in the new stadium today I can appreciate it's a brilliant stadium and we needed it to evolve blah blah I get all that, but I reckon if that match was a goodison today we beat them, the atmosphere isn't as good for me.

The atmosphere is not clicking just yet. I'm at the mid-point of the lower south and it's coming from the front, back, left, right and in pockets but not fully catching on. I think this is where the 1878's would usually step in to suggest ways to pick it up. I think once it works, it will be incredible.

Feel is a few things about it would like to think we can get the flags back going by the 1878 before games again. To really help kick the game off, also just think becuase is such a change is people getting used to the stadium sitting by new people ect that it will come again. Think football as a whole now from home teams the support is not going to be what is was. I do think will improve as the season goes on

Some do I'm in the upper South but the is seats in the lower for a reason can't see it being a problem FFS that's what they are there for

The biggest concern for me by far with the new stadium was people putting themselves in the new Gladwys Street that liked the idea of being where the atmosphere was without doing anything to provide it themselves.

I don't really know what you do to make the South Stand unique or get people on their feet but the team need it and we need it as a club.

South-West today for me (Position in the stadium that is, not the area of the UK with the most kopites) and thought the atmosphere was boss throughout.

Think it's worth taking into account that:

1) There isn't a stadium in the UK that is loud for 90 minutes straight every week and none of them even get close to being so
2) Let's not pretend Goodison to be something it wasn't. Even when Moyes came back, it was very quiet for large periods for most matches that were not the derby.
