Be a difficult game, hopefully we do enough to get the 3 points and give the fans plenty to get vocal about.
Highlights from my first game at our new home:

- Bramley dock hotel, good for a pre game pint, but it's rammed. Since the roads pedestrianized, let people drink outside ffs

- new stadium is quality, as are the views from the bars and snacks area

- Beto is genuine in effort and genuinely not prem in class

- we're too dependent on Jack who had a 6/7 game in terms of chances made. Linked up well, great running, just no really hurtful end product ( a la Beto/KDH/ Ndiaye/ Barry

- Dunno why we didn't go 3 at the back at least 10-15 mins to make room for Dibling. Villa barely scraped a shot on target in 90mins, Tyler might have helped force a goal... Or perhaps that's not what £40m attacking footballers are for

- but that's not moyes, never will be. Didn't force or change much tactically. Defence looked ok, Merlin shows promise but his one shot was on par with Gana, sadly.

Great stadium though.

I hope all the Keane haters on this forum will stop getting on his back, he deserves better, he has been our best defender this season and yes he has made a few mistakes over the years but show me a player who does not make mistakes.
Take no notice Michael and just keep doing what you are doing at the moment.
Stick Branthwaite wide left so we don’t break up the promising partnership! :pint2:

I have to say, Garner yet again showing why he’s getting the praise from Moyes. Starting to become a lot like Gana, but more flexibility in terms of where he can play. Gana’s always looking to steal and has great control. I’m seeing Garner as a great candidate for his long-term replacement.

if he is to stay LB we have to play rohl

Solid performance today. Keane excellent again, Illy brilliant in spells, Grealish should have had a crack instead of over playing. Irogbunam - there’s a player there and I don’t know if it’s concentration or fitness but he seems lost for large spells each game.

Favorite player. Ndiaye close second

I was ok with that today, we should have won, but the number of chances missed meant we had to settle for a point. Defensively Keane was, once again, very good and Garner looked comfortable at left back. The problem is we need him in centre midfield. Beto had a few very good chances and really should have put at least one of them away. Barry, when he came on, just looked a yard slower than Beto.

All in all, we are a work in progress but massively improved from this time last year.

Thought we were really good today, just one of them

Better being annoyed at a draw than being happy with one, as we have been in recent years
Agree, they had possession at various points but I never felt we were under the cosh or would concede. We created enough good opportunities to score but we didn't. Beto that. We also need to score more from set pieces. Dominance equals corners and free kicks around the box and good deliveries need to be headed in. Keane and Tawko are good at winning the headers but terrible at directing them towards anything meaningful. Good teams often get their first goal from a corner or free kick and then play their expansive football when the game opens up.

Still struggling my way home because of train cancellations. A frustrating game where the ref did all he could do peg us back whenever we got any fluency going. A really terrible display from him. On the upside, I suppose it's good that a draw with Villa is now seen as a less than ideal result. On to the next one.
