2025/26 David Moyes

Two steps forward,,,one step back

Typical Moyes,,,happy for us to be floating around upper mid table,,,
Not sure it was one step back, we lost this fixture last year and villa are a good team. In another day Beto puts away one of his chances or Martinez doesn’t make a world class save and everyone’s celebrating a win. The question has to be have we made progress and there’s little doubt of that. The form since Moyes has come in is in stark contrast to the previous manager, people have really short memories.

We could of gone joint top of the league today,,,massive statement,,,stinks of Moyes mark 1,,,,happy to be just around the wannabe's,,,

Home game against a struggling team,,,,

So what could Moyes have done differently, where you at the game today?? Because if you look at the stats of the game we dominated the game all for 10 minutes in the 2nd half. 20 shots, 14 on target!

That story suggest the tactics where good, the team was set up in the right way the failure was the players to score.

What changes would you have made?? Before you say Dibbling, I find it really interesting that Moyes has deemed Rohl ready but hasn’t used Dibbling. Maybe he doesn’t think he’s ready!! But I’m keen to hear what you would have done??

You want to make Dibbling hungry and earn a spot. He also needs to settle in, I think. Didn’t he make a move, get homesick, and go back to Southampton?

Yeah he did, did enter my mind to. Seems a quiet lad, I agree I think he’s allowing him to settle. Rohl he has put straight in, I think that speaks volumes.

It’s not a criticism of Dibbling at all, he’s 19 and need patience!

Thought as he can often be, he was too slow to make changes and didn't make enough.

Tim stayed on way too long, same with Beto. And Ndiaye last 25 was utterly goosed.

Not using Alcaraz at all since the cup game is outright odd as well. Game today he should have at least come on the last 10-15

Basically you have to look at the recruitment and the management and who is making the decisions on those,,,if you want to achieve the best outcome(s),,,

moyes will have to learn from it

he’s ovbs thought as us we’d have enough then made the changes

i’m not blaming him
for not getting a striker to
which we need

whoever does the recruitment
