2025/26 Beto

Hello. New to the forum post here pls

Crikey that takes me back.

Thankfully some things never change on GOT like writing off new players before they have even played a full game and @Bungle being bungle ;)

If we'd prioritised a world class number 9 we wouldn't have got the class midfield we have now. We'd have a great player isolated up top with nobody to give him the ball, and we'd be leaking more goals because we wouldn't be able to keep the ball. We also wouldn't attract a class striker with a bit part midfield. It's going to take time and for now Beto is more than fine, but he will have bad days, just have to keep backing him as he will score goals.

Yeah kinda this, he is what he is. Sometimes it’ll work (typically away from home or at home against sides that play high - Villa sat deep today), sometimes he’ll look like a 6’4 Portuguese Beckford.

1st half i thought he did well, 2nd half probably should have scored, but he is better than Barry as he presses much better and forces the opposition into mistakes, I thought Barry needs to up his game
