2025/26 David Moyes

Emery just on the radio there saying new signings need time too bed in.
They have gone backwards a bit this season...I think we were the better team today which is very telling on where villa is currently. Too many changes of personel which I guess was needed for psr reasons...no way they will be finishing in a champions league positions this season, in fact, and as long as we have a bit of luck on the injury front, I think we'll finish above them.

They are not in danger or anything but they are the only team to have not scored a goal yet and they don't look like creating anything, 1 shot on target all game I think it was, they have issues imo.

They looked as bad as a Sean Dyche team in the final third today. However even Dyche teams improve from terrible starts so eventually they'll win a few games and get back up to mid table.

It was a very good chance to beat them though and still the long winless run against Villa goes on so would've been good at least to end that jinx.

Tough games though - Newcastle, Brentford and Palace.

Brentford away I don't think will be as tough as in recent seasons this year. Faced Newcastle without Isak and barely had a shot.

Palace are a good team but not an opponent this club has difficulty beating.

Infact that trilogy of clubs would create a great dissertation for any budding sporting psychologists. Everton never beat Villa who always lose to Palace who Everton always beat home and away!

When was the last time we scored a goal against them at home?
