Easy to say now, I realise, but I’d much rather Moyes take the risk and throw on Dibling and Charly if we’re the better team and looking for a winner.

I know he’s scared to do it and then lose, but that’s the game. We buy these players to make a difference and they’re not being given the chance.

Even in my own head I’m like “yeah but it’s Moyes and you know he won’t” but I credit the guy with enough self-awareness to know what’s required to change, and it isn’t doing the same stuff you always do. That’s the big frustration from me today.

Self-awareness is signing KDH and leaving him on 90mins when hes having a nightmare to affect the game.

McNeil, Dibling, Alcaraz all there wondering what they need to do.

Villa usually time waste, they are nowhere near as threatening as pundits make them out to be. i didn't see the match but i can imagine lot's of poor Burnley like tackles, Mings not getting punished for his "tackles" and them mostly just being a bit sly

Yeah they got away with some rough tackles. There was one on the halfway line earlier the end which looked bad and I can't believe it wasn't looked at again, I can only assume it was because Barry got a shot off and we got a corner from it.

I feel we tried to go through Grealish to much today and they just doubled up on him. With no left footed fullback to overlap it made it harder for him. It’s like we just want Ndiaye to get in the box rather than create like he did last season. Happy with a point, we’d have lost that under Dyche so it’s progress but I think it’s 2 points dropped rather then 1 gained
This is it for me. We have completely overlooked the full back positions. You need overlapping fullbacks when the wingers come inside or they’re playing against a winger and fullback every time

The manager remains conservative. He took far too long - as usual - to make obvious enough substitutions. His faith in more tenured players at the club over the new joiners as shown in his starting selection wasn't vindicated. When that happens, you need to accept your loyalty was misplaced and make proactive changes. He waited. We've spent close to 100m on that bench today. More of that needs to be on the pitch - and earlier.

Yet he put Rohl on.

Seemed to have a good touch and ace at fouling their players and skying a shot.

Nothing really to judge yet.
