Meh, we never looked like putting it past Martinez, I'll take the draw. Right now, just happy we didn't find some stupid way to lose it.

Simon Hooper ruined the game for me. Once again, horrible officiating.

Choite. We had more than enough quality to win this game just need to take some shots ffs. Ref didn’t help at all killed any flow and just gave them so many free kicks when it was the other way around or didn’t let the game play on. So frustrating but we’re bound to have games like this. Should have won but I’m happy with the start of the season

Really frustrating game. They aren't an easy team to play against and they dug in very well. One of those games where we probably just needed more quality in the full back position to give our wide players a bit more space.

A special mention for Hooper who gave absolutely everything to them when there was the slightest hint of a foul. This was not reciprocated for us.

Anyone else notice the commentator saying "Grealish is used to getting a free for that type of foul"? He shouldn't be it's either a free or it's not it shouldn't be acceptable that City get a free for that but Everton don't, the corruption is so great and accepted that commentators call it out in a round about way without even realizing it.
