TV Series

Untamed - Netflix.

Only six episodes, so an easy watch.

It`s nicely filmed, with some really stunning cinematography in the mountains and forests.

The premise is good, as is the way the story unfolds and Sam Neil and Eric Bana do a good job as the leads, but they`re let let down by the poor supporting cast, who give the whole thing the feel of an afternoon tv drama.

Could`ve been better.

The first few episodes of that I'm going to my missus "that actor is the absolute ringer of Sam Neill, I can't believe it", until I checked and it is him. His appearance has changed over the last few years through his health.

On the series, it was ok, worth a watch but forgettable.

Following my enjoyment of Landman, and my immediate liking of Billy Bob Thornton in the lead role, I followed up a pal's recommendation and started watching Goliath, an eight parter on Paramount.
Another masterclass from the fella. Watched them all in three sessions, an excellent effort.

left me a few questions though! I’ve not read the books so not sure if this telling deviates from them or not but defo a bit of cliff hanger.
It deviates from them massively to the point that this current story is mostly unrecognizable.

There are parts of it in enjoying. Everything with Demerzel and the Cleons.

The stuff they're doing with Gaal I am not a fan of at all and has ruined the payoffs of some of the better book moments for me.

Much better than landman imo

Would have been impossible not to really, the difference in mediums wouldn't lend itself to a TV series aside from the Mule book possibly.

Both are great imo
