2025/26 David Moyes

Yes? What would the difference be? Would new players not pay attention to him unless he has shin pads on?
Maybe his being part of training and working for his fitness and that associated commitment is key? Sometimes it is easier to see the battle when you are in the middle of it instead of as a general watching from a position of overview.

All fluff points being made here tbh. He could be a coach and still instil club values and expectations to the players.

I bet you fluff or no fluff that he's fitter and faster than Moyes.
I bet you that YouTube blert IShowSpeed is fitter and faster than Seamus Coleman. What does that prove? Should we give him a playing contract as well?

At some point we're going to have to move on from the Seamus Coleman playing era. He's played 20 times total for us in two and a bit years and most of those were for less than the 90 mins (1,306 mins total in that time - the equivalent of about 14 and a half games). He has been a brilliant servant but he isn't capable of playing regular (or even much) premier league football. That's not my opinion, that's what the stats show. He played 5 premier league games last season averaging only 43 minutes in each of those appearances. Just make him a coach, and if he wants to participate in training and wear his kit in the changies (a la John Terry) then good for him. We've got to stop pretending that he is a PL player because, at any other club, he is not.

I don’t see why a younger player would not respect an older pro transitioning into coaching. He’s essentially like a corporal in the army - old enough to be experienced and pass on knowledge and young enough still to be identifiable to the players.

He had Unais number today just the strikers failed to do their jobs. He could have thrown the Wizard on earlier cos Tim was gash. Charlie comes on and adds something
