They've said they'll be working until Saturday on the repairs
I thought it would be weeks when it was damaged. They hadn't yesterday. Doubt it will be fixed before Villa.
Wow I’m suprised by that, wonder whether it was actually absence of equipment or lack of training / familiarity with where it was.
You would think in a place designed to hold 53k people, that sort of kit being missing would stop a safety cert being issued.
Took the kids down to see the players arrive for the league cup game.
The coach arrived at 6:05pm - so roughly 2 hours before kick-off. They pull up outside the west stand, and barriers get put up in the walkway under the stepped plaza that you can wait by.

@allen Thank you very much. I’ll be dragged along earlier so we’ll take a look. CheersTook the kids down to see the players arrive for the league cup game.

I very much hope the stadium can be lit differently...Nicked from Reddit (hopefully not photoshopped)

If genuine that’s the first time I’ve seen the lighting be able to change colour. Wonder if the east and west ones can also be a different colour.
Oh and get the bleeding crests finished while you’re at it ffs.
Who is that rude little fella that refused to get out of the way of this photo?HDS lit up but doesn’t look like Everton crests areView attachment 325045
a defibrillator wont help with a stroke, only thing todo is recognise what the issue is (strokes are difficult to tell in the early stages) and get them to a hozzy asapWow I’m suprised by that, wonder whether it was actually absence of equipment or lack of training / familiarity with where it was.

Just meant generally rather than specific to that incident/case, I’d have thought defibs and evacuation chairs would have been minimum requirements for a safety cert for that many people.a defibrillator wont help with a stroke, only thing todo is recognise what the issue is (strokes are difficult to tell in the early stages) and get them to a hozzy asap
Hope so, I’d kind of resigned to them not being colour changing which would have been a bit cheapskate this day and age.I very much hope the stadium can be lit differently...

Info please! Travelling 48 miles. Usually use train to Lime St. Going to try by car. Which multi storey carpark is easiest/best to BMD to use for 919 OR 929 Shuttle bus? Easiest combination please as Pensioner and not good on legs!![]()
I only found this out yesterday but a friend of my brother in laws dad was at the Brighton game and had a massive stroke. They didn’t know what it was at the time and thought it might be a heart attack but they didn’t have a chair to remove him or a defibrillator anywhere near him. Poor guy ended up dying after the event. Fixing Club View and the length of a queue for a beer are the least of their worries
