It’s worth noting these steps were written way before Trump got in again and his policies without doubt fit them.

Good morning. Yes indeed, what a happy cheerful day.

I have a thought troubling me though. Why do people call others fascists? And what do they mean by it? I can often not see a clear link to the philosophy of the original Italian fascists.

Thoughts?

Even though Person A is being labeled a “fascist” just for expressing fairly mainstream views (maybe in a provocative or clickbaity way) there will always be some lunatics who take it personally. They can’t possibly conceive that other people actually hold different opinions or worldviews, and in their distorted logic, they see violence, even killing Person A, as justified.

Of course, there's a total lack of self awareness that silencing someone for their political views is itself a hallmark of fascism.
