The 20th World Athletics Championships. Tokyo 13th-21st September

Kerr And Ingebrigtsen have got a lot more than just each other to worry about this time.

I hope Kerr can win but they’ll both be doing well to beat the youngsters Laros (who I make favourite) and Koech.
I mean, fast times this season doesn't necessarily mean conversion to championship wins.

If we were to go on form then George Mills could be considered a podium favourite.

I cant see past Kerr and Ingebrigtsen.

I hope you're right regarding Kerrr but Laros looks very special to me, he has some finishing speed.

I can't see past him even if a fully fit Ingebrigtsen turns up.

It's going to be some race. I'll be very interested to see the bookies odds when they're released.

If he's over his heel injury he'll take off in the final with about 600M to go and run the finish out of everyone.

He can do that.

A little treat at the beginning of Autumn to make us feel we're still in summer.

The sprint events bore me, but the middle distance events will be great.

Biggest disappointment for me is that in the 800M Hodgkinson wont be facing the Yank who beat her in a WC final and Olympic final Athing Mu, who failed to make it through the American trials. I reckon there might be a Brit 1-2 in that race with Hunter-Bell coming second. I suppose the Kenyan Mary Moraa cant be discounted either.

The Mens 1500 is going to be a tear up between Kerr and Ingebrigtsen - and I wouldn't rule out Wightman getting back onto the podium again. I cant see Hocker retaining his title. Just a pity Nuguse failed to qualify for this.
Middle distance is fantastic and Hodgkinson is in amazing form. I doubt anyone could beat her at the moment. A good 800 or 1500 is the only thing to compare with a great match

I have got well into the athletics in the last few years, watching all the diamond league.

Mondo in the pole vault is the man, but Keely Hodgkinson is on another level in the woman's 800m

I remember the glory days of Ovett, Coe, Cram, Elliott - and even Tom McKean. World records every week!
