Rumours of both a club option on an extra year and contract discussions about a new deal. Absolutely no idea on the veracity of these rumours, however.

I find it hard to believe we wouldn't take that deal. That is easy replacement money right there to bring in a better fit. Can't have been true.

Particularly with PSR it would have been a good boost to the current year figures and allowed the club to spend more with any new purchase amortised out over contract term.
