Homepage Article How To Solve A Problem Like Club View?

I'm not in Club View so not really my issue, but this came up in a group chat this morning and I couldn't see it here, so thought it might be worth sharing this fella's take...

Thanks for this, I’d not taken the time to count the number of positions. From that info it’s clear as day that it’s not going to work in the current configuration. As I’ve mentioned earlier a number of drinks only trucks would reduce the queues as I saw some buying drinks only.
As for lifts, they’re a skinny oblong gap between the stairs up to CV, maybe possible for a lift to be added there.
If they have to knock the £10 credit on the head and refund us I won’t be bothered, I wanted seats as close to half way line.

Already considering a transfer away from Club View if the opportunity becomes available.
I’m hoping they improve what can be improved but if I’m honest the main reason I picked club view was I wanted a fairly central view on the side. In lower east I’d have had to either be very near the front or down towards the penalty area as I wasn’t in tranche 1 and most of the decent lower east seats are corporate. Same for West stand. I had a great seat at Goodison which was central in lower bullens with no pillars but I accept that I was one of the very few lucky ones 😂. I knew I wouldn’t be able to match that without going corporate and I’m happy with the view I’ve got from my new seat so although I might grumble I can’t really see where in the ground I’d want to move to. Anything to the north side of club view will be displaced for cup games and the ones to the south of club view were very popular and sold very quickly so I can’t see many coming up to move to. Having said that I’m also fortunate that I’m fit enough at present to do the hike up the stairs. If I wasn’t though I’d be pushing the club to be allocated to turnstile with a lift.

Exactly the reason why I chose CV. I was on the half way line in the Top Balcony and CV gave me the chance to get a like for like viewing. The seat is great. However,…I did not anticipate 11 flights of steps, a concourse you can’t move in and a total waste of time trying to get served. Can’t see how the concourse can improve. Its too small for the numbers. Probably take in my pre match pint and pie outside the ground and just go straight to my seat.

Jumping back into this thread to see if anyone knows if, when you transfer a club view ticket to a friend of family, will that ticket give them the £10 leauge match day credit? (assuming they have it fully working by then)

No idea but I’m also curious to know. I’m assuming it should do but it hasn’t even worked for me so far 😂

There is nothing in the FAQs that I could find. Not sure if anyone has needed to transfer theirs yet so early in the season?
I have transferred the Villa match (wife's birthday and no the ticket is not her birthday present). I've just asked the guy who has it whether the credit is in the wallet. I never saw anything on mine for the Brighton match though.

Nothing showing up in his Google wallet regarding credit, but this was the same for me v Brighton.
Did anyone else have anything different?

The credit is loaded onto the digital card but without being visible, so as you tap your phone with the season ticket open on the payment reader at the till, the scanner picks up whatever credit you have and a monitor displays the corresponding cost being reduced from your bill. You can use several season tickets' worth of credit in one order if you're ordering a job lot.

Thanks for the info mate.

If I understand what you're trying to say, then I don't think it's accurate.

Maximum you can spend, per game, is £10 [aside from Villa with Brighton's rolling over]. And it has to be 1 membership=1 phone=1 transaction.

So if there's 4 of you, you can't spend say, £100 and then scan 4 peoples phones to reduce the total by £40 (or £80 for Villa...)

Each of the 4 of you would have to put through individual transactions.

Well that's exactly what I did last time at the Brighton game. I have my family's 3 tickets on my phone. I ordered 3 drinks and 3 food items, tapped the 3 tickets onto the reader and saw 3x £10 deducted, and then paid the balance.
