Doctor Who?

The biggest issue we've found from watching the old ones - they're too long. I know I'm looking at it as a 21st century viewer, but each story is 3+ hours of episodes and the stories just don't warrant it.

For comparison, we're also watching The Outer Limits from the 60's, and they're crafting really nifty self contained yarns in 50 minutes.

I think this is a fair point.

Some prudent editing would have made the early tales far more punchier.

Still the early Doctors, from William Hartnell to Sylvester McCoy, were my personal favorites.

Jon Pertwee IS the Doctor and Katy Manning, oh my word…….View attachment 324943
She posed for some 'interesting ' photos for a 'men's magazine '.

This is the only one I can post.

Peter Davison was my Doctor.

I enjoyed the Tennant and Smith eras. Capaldi was good but the stories had already started to get worse and the whole timeless child thing has kind of ruined it.

Had hoped the return of Russel T Davies would have improved things, but the stories are still terrible

All the existing episodes are available on the iPlayer. Go and watch all the Patrick Troughton ones, he was superb
